Abigail's P.O.V:

"Y-You're alive?" I squeaked.

My mother, Teresa, nodded with a smile.

"I've been looking for you and Maximus for years. After your father shot me, Abraham picked me up. He took me to his place where I had become his 'maid' for years. He told me you kids were in California." She was on the verge of tears.

"Mom." I cried out. "You're alive." I repeated.

There was a loud bang from upstairs, causing me to jump.

"Don't worry Abby. I'm here." My mother cooed.

She untied me from the chair and lifted me to my feet. She embraced me in her warms arms as I cried.

"How've you been?" She asked, as if I was gone for only a day.

"Good." I sniffled. "Patrick is amazing. I love them all."

"I know." She replied warmly. "I told him to get you."

"What?" I pushed myself out of her arms.

"Well, I wasn't able to leave Abraham. So I contacted Jared to get into Stephen's room and print out a document to send to Patrick, so he can adopt you all."

I cringed at the name. Jared. My mother noticed.

"Who told you?" She worried.

"Jace."

"Oh my God Jason." She sighed, pulling her hair back into a pony tail.

My mother hadn't changed at all. Her brown hair somehow remained the same length, maybe a bit longer. Her brown eyes were still filled with pride.

"I'm really sorry Abigail-" She attempted.

"I'm not mad." I barked.

"You're not?"

"Well, I'm already here. I'm not mad at my existence. I'm just mad that you didn't tell me all these years, nor Jared."

"We just didn't want anything to change for you."

"Nothing to change for me?" I scoffed. "Mom. Everything is changing. Daniel died, Spencer died, Cynthia and Colton died!" I yelled.

She stopped in shock. I thought she had known.

"W-What?" She chocked.

"Colton was shot down by Abraham's group. Cynthia killed herself." I looked down at my shoes.

She didn't respond after that. Neither did I.

There was another bang from upstairs. This time it sounded closer to us.

The door opened. A person dressed in all black came in and grabbed my mom.

"Mom!" I shouted.

"It's okay Abby!" She shouted back.

The person dragged her away and slammed the door shut. I dropped to my knees and cried.

Maximus' P.O.V:

I started feeling a bit better by the time we took off from the mob. Brendon and I took off towards the outside of the reception while the others remained inside.
