Walking up the stairs and into Ford's unfinished house, came an overwhelming stuffy smell of sawdust. The house from the inside looked a lot like a cabin filled with gizmos, gadgets, and large wood pieces laying around. You stopped at one point, leaving Ford walking on ahead. You eyed a mechanical piece, and lifted a finger to touch it. But that didn't happen because Ford called you into a different room.
You held your hands to your chest, trying to ignore the feeling of pain in your palms, and then sat in a chair Ford gestured you to. While Ford was getting bandages ready, you thought to yourself what mysteries this town may hold.

Why is Gravity Falls the place for strange things?

Will we solve all of them?

Will there be any cryptograms in this town connected to your book?

Your eyes bolted to your large (f/c) suitcase that held your book, and back to Ford who was now approaching you with long white bandages.
"This will only sting a little," he said and carefully wrapped the bandages around your now swollen hands.
You only grinned nervously before speaking in a quiet tone.
"I'm sorry I put you in the trouble of doing this...I was just kind of tired walking all day with a heavy suitcase..." You rambled on.
His eyes were only glued to the bandages, which was bleeding a little bit through. Ford chuckled.
"It's fine. I enjoy helping people out," he finished, and tied both the bandages tight. "There you go. And I was going to ask, before you fell...you are staying here, right?"
Your eyes widened.

Here?

It would probably beat staying at a motel with a small, cramped room.
"Yeah. Sure. If it's fine and all..."
Ford's face lit up again.
"Great! I haven't had visitors in a long time. Follow me."
You couldn't help but smile at his reaction, and follow him up all the way upstairs a large empty room only with a bed in the corner of it. The thing that intrigued you was the triangular window in the middle of the wall. You couldn't help but take a quick glimpse outside and notice the sky turn to different shades of bright colours that would dance amongst the flat clouds. Rolling your suitcase to a small bed made the floors creak. You sat on the mattress and laid your hands in your lap.
"Thank you so much, Ford! I can't wait to see what we will discover in this town," you called out to him, who was leaning against the door frame slightly smiling.
"No problem. We can start exploring tomorrow. Have a good night..." He shut the door behind him, and you laid on the mattress with a sigh.
