Your eyes would meet with cobwebs in the corners of the walls as you walked down the wooden staircase.

What does Ford keep down here?

You wondered to yourself and you started to get nervous.
Ford sauntered over to what it seemed like an elevator, and to a panel right next to it. The lid of the panel popped open, and he punched in a few buttons. Then, a green light appeared over top of it and the elevator doors slid open.
"Ladies first," Ford said, his deep voice echoing off the hard stone walls. He gestured you into into it, and you frowned, a hint of anxiety coming off your body like a strong perfume scent. "What's the matter? It won't bite," he laughed.
You laughed along with him, and stumbled first into the creaky elevator. Ford joined you, and the doors shut.
Once you hit the bottom, you were then greeted by technology. Bright lights flashed brightly into your
(e/c) eyes while you followed Ford.

What is he keeping in here?

He walked through a door at the end of the dark hallway full of flashing lights and into a large space. You weren't exactly thinking, and you trailed behind him slowly, your hands starting to become clammy. "Behold, my interdimensional gateway!" Ford's arms opened towards the open space, a metal half triangle with a large circle in the middle. The rest of the space was filled with pieces of scrap metal and tools.
"Woah!" You spun around fully once, taking in all the features of this dark and cold space. But the word he said caught your attention. You turned towards Ford now. "Dimensions?"
"Precisely." He paced the now dirt floor. "I believe there's a link to Gravity Falls and this gateway...another dimension leaking into our world and creating all the anomalies in this town. Only this town."

You were fascinated by what he was saying, and watched him stop pacing. What kinds of dimensions are out there? you would think. Ford sighed, and looked to you.
"I just haven't been able to finish it yet..."
Your eyes widened and your heart started to race. You thought this could be your chance. A chance to...prove yourself to him. Impress him a little, like he has to you. "But, I could help! I could at least try," you gave a grin, but Ford's eyes averted from yours.
"I'm glad that you want to, but maybe this is too much for you to handle..." His mouth opened to say more words, but nothing came out.
"What do you mean, that I can't handle?" You retorted, and Ford came up to you to push you gently out of the space.
"I think it's simply too dangerous. You need to help me with my other work...the smaller ones." Ford's cheeks started to get rosy, and you struggled to get out of his grasp before you both neared the door. He seemed surprised.
"Is that all I am for!?" You narrowed your eyes at him.
"Hey, hey! Quiet down. There's no need to get angry. I just need a technician or someone who is good at fixing and making machines, alright?"
You let out a puff of air and headed through the door, submitting to him. You didn't want to start another one of those fights. "Alright...it's fine."
He rested a hand on the door frame before he left the space, and his other hand rubbed the back of his head. "I just don't want you to get hurt..." His cheeks got even rosy-er.
You turned to him briefly and smiled. He did the same back.
