You ran through the forest pushing branches out of your swollen face while sobbing. But your sobbing had stopped when you tripped over something and fell. Again, the ground came rushing to your face, and your hands prevented your head from touching the hard ground. You rolled over to your back with a grimace, and you saw the same tree root you stumbled over on the first day you came. It only made you even more angry, and you struggled to get off the ground. It seems wherever you went it reminded you of Ford.
The paranormal investigator who played with your feelings. The house, the diner, the large tree root. The town itself.
You neared his house, your vision blurring from some incoming tears. The town, you thought whilst gritting your teeth together tightly as you opened the door to his house abruptly.
If you haven't gone to visit Gravity Falls, and if your mother never met Stanford Pines while doing a job interview, then none of this would have happened.
You tried to deny it at first, but Ford had really set off your emotions. It wasn't even a date and your heart just shattered.
"Oh why, oh why am I feeling like this?" You asked yourself through a mid-sob while trudging up to the attic room. It was getting to be very dark out, and the sun's light was totally disappearing in the sky. The orange, purple and pink colours now faded into a hazy dark blue, now lit with the smallest stars and round moon.
You went to go get your things and leave without telling Stanford, but the mattress laying there was calling you. Your steps became severely heavy, and you took in a deep breath before your body plummeted into the mattress' soft fabric. All that crying and running had made you so exhausted, and it didn't hurt to take a small rest.
Even though you were tired enough, the tears kept coming and wouldn't stop. Each tear rolling off your cheek and disappearing in the mattress or even your own clothing. Is this what it feels like to have a broken heart?
And with that quick thought, you fell asleep without even knowing.
...
Your eyelids shot open, and your breathing was quickened. You had to leave soon, before Ford could know you've been acting like this. But oh no. Your eyes caught the triangle window in the side of the wall, and it was still dark out. Could it be too dangerous to go out at this time? Oh, who cares. All you cared about was how Ford would react to your current state. How embarrassing would that be.
You quickly zipped up your suitcase, and rolled it towards the attic exit, but a dark figure stood in the opening, and you backed up, jaw agape. Too late.
Ford stayed in the dark of the opening way, and leaned against the door post. "Where are you going?" He asked.
No. Something felt...not right. You growled and let go of the suitcase handle. "Where were you, Stanford Pines?! I had no idea where you were!" You yelled at him, tears brimming once again, but you drove them back.
He gave a high pitched chuckle, and he stepped out of the dark. "Just dealing with some...business," he said, grinning a wide grin.
You backed up even more, and a chill ran down your spine. "Ford?"
He walked even closer to you, cornering you between the wall. "It's me in the flesh, doll. Well, kind of," he let out a cackle, and the next thing you noticed was his eyes. They glowed a bright yellow with black slits.
You gasped. "Bill?!" You stuttered, and he nodded quickly, still smiling. "What did you do to Ford?!"
He stepped back, and wrapped his hands around his back, yellow eyes still glued onto your (e/c) iris'. "And so the tale begins..."
