After another couple of days, your legs became tingly and able to move.
The first time you got out of the bed, your legs wobbled to the ground. But within a few minutes, you were up and walking. That day, you and Ford did more searching for more creatures of the town, but no such luck. Not even the large slime monster you both faced...
The good thing was that you and Ford were getting more and comfortable with each other over the time. While on the walk through the forest, you told him your life story and he listened intently.

...

A little after 11:00 PM, you slipped into your (f/c) nightgown, and went downstairs to get a drink of water. Going into the kitchen, you turned on the tap and filled up a glass.
Suddenly, soft snoring filled the room.
Capturing your interest, you'd creep into the snore filled room and to your eyes was a sleeping Ford. He was on the couch, a blanket slipping off of him, his glasses tilting and his strange red book across his chest. Rising and falling, the shiny golden hand glimmering from the lamp light in the corner.
Giving a little smirk, you stood there for a moment.

Oh Ford...

You walked over to him, and took off his glasses and put it on the paper filler desk and you laid the blanket fully on top of him. Lastly, you picked up the book to set it on the desk...but it caught your eye.
"I'm sure he won't mind..." You whispered to yourself, and flipped it over to the page it was on. You studied the drawings and his neat handwriting. 'Slime Creature', it read. The page was full little notes on the detail of what it looked like, and also of the paralysis poison. How long the paralyzing would be for, and its weakness.

Pine cones.

You chuckled, and searched for more interesting things in the book, which you suspected it was a journal full of what Ford has found. Gnomes, zombies, eyebats, a shapeshifter. All these different kinds of weird creatures and monsters of all sorts in Gravity Falls. Until you flipped to a page with red ink splattered all over it. The page read,
Bill Cipher.

Reading that name made your vision blurry and your stomach twist and churn. But you couldn't pry your eyes away from the other writing in bright red.

Do not summon at all costs!

Your breath hitched, and you took a closer look at what the page had held. A drawing of the triangle, some codes called caesar, atbash, and A1Z26.
The cryptograms you were studying.
Your eyes now searched the page, hoping its hunger would be filled by finding a clue to what you were looking for. Something to help you with deciphering the codes. And that's when Ford woke up.
