Stanford sat there, laying his chin onto his large hand, trying to gather up words to possibly say. His eyes stay glued to the floor.
"When my twin brother, Stanley, broke my machine and prevented me from going to my dream school, I went to a low ranking college called Backupsmore..."
Ford went on and on, and as further getting into the story, his hand gestures increased.
You watched him intently, absorbing all the words he was saying. He started speaking about the college and how he got the money to build this house when he finished schooling, then about making three journals in honour of the Gravity Falls weirdness.
You held his Journal 3 up to your chest while listening. "finding all these different anomalies in Gravity Falls, it had finally stopped. There was no more...nothing. No more information to unlock the mysteries and where it came from," he laughed, and swivelled the chair around left to right, a squeaking noise filling the room from the chair's springs. "except for that Slime Creature. Sadly, would probably be the last one I've encountered...explains why we haven't found anything, hm?"
What Ford was saying was making sense, and you nodded.
He said this town was filled with strange creatures...and yet, you have not encountered more than one thing.
Ford continued on, "but however, I needed some sort of help. And at the right time, I stumbled into a cave with cryptic hieroglyphics...sketchy writings and drawings of a triangular demon who knew all the answers." His eyes rolled up again to the ceiling, and his brows creased. "...idiot me, I read the incantations out aloud."
He rambled on about the incantations not working...but when he slept, the demon entered his mind, called by Bill Cipher. He didn't know he had summoned a dream demon. "I befriended Bill, and he came across as friendly and non hostile. But what I didn't know, was that he was trying to take over our dimension and turn it to his own liking for himself and his other freaky allies...before I figured that out, we made a deal that he would help me with why Gravity Falls was like this, including making an interdimensional portal. Bill convinced me to make it, and I couldn't do it by myself. So I called up a friend named Fiddleford McGucket..."

Ford went on for awhile, and eventually finished his story. ((Y'all know what happened, lol.)) You were shocked at his story. That betrayer, you thought, and squeezed the book harder to your chest. "Happy now?" He asked as he raised a hand to lay his chin into his palm, and you both had looked at eachother for awhile.
You were practically speechless, and you sat back into your own chair. "Hey...a little while back, when I thought Bill would take over the world I made a bunker in the forest. I could possibly show you what's inside it tomorrow," he said without smiling, nor with any emotion. You guessed he was trying to switch the topic, for you could feel anger pouring from his skin.
"Yeah-" you started but he got out of his chair, and walked out towards the door. He held the frame and looked to you.
"Goodnight, (y/n)," he said before leaving you hanging there, while holding his journal. You didn't pay any mind to his attitude, so you gently traced a finger along the creases of the red book, and you smiled.
All night you were reading his journal.
