She continued smiling at me and I wasn't even sure I should go back and get either Soda or Steve, but I had to, I couldn't avoid her because she hurt Soda, at least not here anyway.
"Let me check if their available" I said walking out from behind the counter. I opened the door that led out to the garage and seen Steve.
"Hey Steve, someone needs their brakes fixed, their looking for you" I lied.
Steve ran up but I stopped him before we entered the store.
"What?" He asked.
"It's Sandy, she asked for Soda, but I don't want to upset him" I whispered.
"Jesus" He said and walked into the store.
"What do you want?" He snarled. Wow sounds just like Dally. It was actually pretty hot. I mentally punched myself again for thinking those things, if Dally knew he would kill me.
"I need my brakes fixed" She glared at him. I don't think many people get along with Steve and I can see why. It's actually quite funny.
"Well give me your keys and stay here, you're not going near Soda" Steve said reaching for her hand.
She slapped the keys down in Steve's hand and he went out the door. I sighed and sat behind the counter again and started reading my magazine.
"What are you doing here anyway? I figured you'd be gone back by now" Sandy said walking around.
"No I'm staying here forever, I think I'm going to start working here to get some money" I said not looking up from my magazine.
"You don't like me do you?" She said plopping her elbows down on the counter and placing her chin between each hand.
"I don't like what you did to Soda. You really hurt him, he loved you Sandy. Why did you do that to him?" I said gently putting the magazine on the counter.
"I just wasn't into him anymore" She simply said.
"Why didn't you tell him before you got knocked up by someone else, that made it a lot worse" I explained. "Who's the father anyway?"
"Tim Shepard" She smiled.
"Tim Shepard" I said cocking an eyebrow and smirking. Tim was supposed to be Dally's friend but they fight like a married couple. Tim was not a good person, he treated girls like dirt.
"There's nothing wrong with Tim" She tried defending herself but I rolled my eyes and continued reading my magazine.
A couple minutes went by and I heard someone running through the store from the garage. Please be Steve.
I turned my head the same time Sandy did and there was Soda, standing in the doorway starring directly at Sandy. I wanted to cry when I seen the expression on his face.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in florida or something" He asked.
"Not yet, soon" She smiled.
I couldn't take my eyes off Soda. I felt so bad for him. How could she just show up here again, Soda wants nothing to do with her, especially if he knows she got knocked up by Tim.
"You're brakes are finished" Steve says coming in the front door.
Steve and Soda looked at each other, then Steve took Soda into the garage again. Sandy paid and left like nothing happened between her and Soda. I can't believe her. I would never do something like that to Dally.
Around lunch time the store started to get a little busy, a few people every now and then came in to pay for gas or to just buy things in the store.
