Chapter 38

"Han, han wake up" Soda said. I groaned and rolled over away from him.

"Han. Come on. Get up" He said.

I swung the pillow at him and tucked it back under me. He sighed loudly and left the room. I felt terrible this morning.

It's been over a month since I last spoke with Karen. I guess he haven't been back because I'm expecting an explanation, and she knows that.

"Up" Darry said coming into the room.

I groaned once again and forced myself to sit up. My head was dizzy and my stomach was doing flips. I groaned for the last time and walked to the kitchen.

"Woah" Two-bit laughed so hard he almost cried. I didn't see what was funny. My hair was a mess sure, I probably looked like death because that's exactly how I feel.

"Hannah! You look terrible" Pony said.

"Thank you Ponyboy" I said and sat on the couch.

"You are way to pale. You feelin' sick?" Soda asked.

"I feel terrible. My stomach and my head are out of control" I said. "Can I have some water please?"

"Yup" Darry said and went back into the kitchen. "Here ya go"

I swallowed down as much as I could but that almost made me gag. I guess I shouldn't have did that.

"Get back in bed" Darry said taking my glass from me.

Soda pulled me off the couch and walked me into the bedroom. I felt so weak, like I was about to pass out. I guess its stomach flu season.

And boy was I right.. All morning I've been back and forth to the bathroom. Two-bit, Johnny and Pony been here all day watching me. And I mean watching me, sitting on my bed watching me. I tried sleeping but its impossible when you have three sets of eyes locked on you.

"Guys. Can one of you go find Dally? He haven't been around yet and it's almost lunch." I said. I needed them out so I could get some more rest.

"Yeah. I'll go, you two stay here" Two-bit said getting off the bed.

He left in a hurry and Johnny and Pony stayed.

"Want us to leave ya alone?" Pony said.

"I'd like to try and sleep." I replied.

"We will be out here, need anything before you go to sleep?" Pony asked.

"I'm good thanks" I smiled and Pony shut off the light and shut the door behind he and Johnny.

I shut my eyes and immediately fell asleep.

I woke up by the door slowly opening. The door creeks like crazy and it makes me so angry. I groan and roll over to face the door.

"Sorry" Dally said.

"Its okay" I mumbled.

"How you feelin'?"

"I don't know. Hungry" I said.

"I brought you in a sandwich" He said putting the plate in front of me.

"Thank you." I tell him taking a bite into it, satisfying my hunger. I groan in delight and soon enough the sandwich is gone.

"You weren't kidding when you said you were hungry were ya?" He chuckles and I smile at him.
