Dally stood there and the little girl, and the rest of the gang were staring at him. The little girl was smiling wide, but you could tell she was shy, because she was almost hid behind Soda. But she was probably perfect with Soda already. She couldn't have been any older than 3, her hair sat on her shoulders in perfect curls, her eyes were a dark chocolate colour.
"Dally" I said and he never answered. He was staring at the little girl like he didn't even know who she was.
"Robbie brought her by" Darry said.
Robbie? Who was Robbie. Maybe it was Dally's dad or brother.
"He said that he needed you to look after her for a couple days, that's all" Darry continued.
Dally looked so lost. He hates kids, how is he supposed to look after one?
"I can't take that kid man" Dally finally said.
"Dally you have to, what else you going to do? She's your responsibility until Robbie gets home, but we can help you" Darry said.
Dally rolled his eyes and flopped on the couch next to Pony and Johnny.
"Ah Han, Robbie told me that she needs a bath, do you mind?" Soda said.
I smiled and kindly agreed. I walked to Soda and took the little girls hand. She looked at me with a small shy smile. I walked her into the bathroom and closed the door a little behind me. Before I started taking off her jeans and sweatshirt I poured some bath water.
"What's your name?" I asked helping her pull her sweatshirt up over her head.
"Ava" She said quietly. "Whats yours"
"Hannah" I smiled.
She shyly turned away when she was finally undressed. I stopped the water and lifted her into the bath. She immediately started splashing the water and soaked me. I laughed and grabbed hold of her hands.
"Let's get you washed up" I said carefully placing her hands down in the water again. This time she didn't splash. She sat there and let me wash over her body and then her hair. When I was finished washing her I let the water out and covered her up in a towel. I lifted her up when she was dry, wrapped her in the towel again and went to the living room.
"Got any clothes?" I asked Darry.
"There's a bag on Soda's bed" He replied. Dally was still sitting on the couch, staring at me holding Ava.
"Dally, come in" I said turning towards the room. I wasn't expecting him to come, but he followed me in. I placed Ava on Soda's bed, on the side on Dally. He looked at her like she was some alien or something.
"Dally, why are you looking at her like that, she's human" I said shaking my head with my eyebrows furrowed.
"What's the kids name?" He said pulling out a cigarette.
"Ava, and Dallas, not around her my god" I took the cigarette out of his mouth before he could light it and threw it away.
I opened the bag and picked out a outfit for Ava.
"Want to dress her?" I asked Dally.
"How do ya do that?" He asked like I was dumb.
"Dally it isn't that hard" I laughed and pulled him off the bed. "Here, put these on first" I said giving him some jogging pants.
He picked up Ava and lid her back on the bed and she started kicking her legs. I could tell he was getting frustrated but he gently took hold of her left leg and put it in the pants leg, then the same with the second. He lifted them up to her little thighs then picked her up again to pull them the rest of the way up. He took the t-shirt off the bed and put it on also.
