My heart stopped as Dally continued to rub his hands over the bump.

"What's this?" He asked.

"A bump that's all" I replied nervously.

"Well how'd you get it?" He asked. "And do not lie to me" He growled.

I swallowed the lump in my throat. I turned around to face dally and expected him to have a dirty look on his face but he looked concerned. My eyes started to fill up. I had to tell him now.

"Han?" His soft voice hummed through my ears.

"It's terrible Dal, everyone hates me there" I let out loud sobs.

Dally never said anything. He just hugged me tightly, my face sticking to his leather jacket. He rubbed up and down my arm slowly.

"I can't stand it. I don't want to go back but I have to"

"Why do you have to?" Dally pushed me off him.

"Because Darry went through so much to get me there and I can't just let that go already, it's only been two days Dally. I told Pony I'd wait a couple more weeks" I wiped my eyes.

"What happened to your head"

"Some guy threw me into a locker and I beat my head off it" I said quietly.

I noticed Dally's hands turn to fists and looked up to see his jaw clench.

"It's not safe there Han you can't go back" Dally huffed.

"Dal just give it a few weeks okay, if it gets to bad I'll tell Darry" I said.

Dally glared at me but decided to not argue. Instead he asked the question I was wishing he wouldn't ask.

"Why did you lie?"

"I thought it was temporary you know, I just thought they'd only pick on me because I was the new girl. I didn't want to worry you guys if it was nothing"

"Han you have to tell us everything" Dally sighed.

"I hid everything away from everyone" I mumbled.

"What?"

"I never told anyone about my mother. My two best friends and that was it. I didn't want anyone to know anything about me. I let it build up in me and I shouldn't have. I guess it just stuck" I said speaking up a little.

"Don't do it anymore. We find everything out somehow"

I nodded slightly. And with that Dally left the room, definitely frustrated.

A full complete week had passed. The gang knew what I had told Dally. Darry told me the minute something happened to come home and depending on how bad it was he'd pull me out of that place.

Surprisingly the week had been okay, a few comments thrown at me but nothing physical like last week. I felt braver but still a little timid. The football jocks were huge. The cheerleaders were bitches, they laughed every single time I passed them but I tried my best to ignore it.

I was sitting in english class, again not really paying attention. My whole notebook was almost filled with doodles. There was only five minutes left to class and it was finally lunch time. I was starving.

The bell rang loudly and everyone jumped out of their seat quickly, including me. I fit in the crowded hallway and walked peacefully all the way to my locker.

I threw my books inside and Pony and Kaitlyn soon came to meet me so we could eat lunch together.

"Good so far?" Pony asked.
