Last night I heard Soda come in the room way later than usual, and I don't think the gang left until then either. Which was very odd because they leave fairly early.
I was laying in my bed, staring at the ceiling. Soda was already up, I assume he's out with Darry and Pony, he woke up before me. I didn't want to go to school today, or ever again. But I knew I had to.
I heard the front door open and then almost slam. More than likely it was Dally.
I heard footsteps coming towards the room. I groaned knowing that it was someone coming to wake me and tell me to get ready for school.
I was correct, Darry knocked quietly on the door then opened it wide. He took a step in, but Dally came in with him. They both sat on the bed. Before I could open my mouth, asking what they were doing, Darry started.
"Good morning, how did you sleep?" He said.
"Fine" I said staring from one, back to the other.
"Listen, Pony told us that he thinks you had a rough day yesterday, school can be tough and I know you know that, but you're in a new place now, lots of different and new people. You'll get use to it, people will soon realize how great of a person you are" Darry said, which made my stomach weak.
"You have to tell us if something happens, or if anything already happened" Dally said.
"Nothing happened" I lied.
They both looked at me concerned. "You're sure nothing happened?" Dally asks me and I nod my head quickly.
"I'm sure." I fake smile and Darry gives me a hug.
He leaves the room and Dally looks at me while I get up and head to my closet. I feel his eyes wandering over me as I pick out a white shirt and some black jeans.
"I know you're hiding something Han." He says quietly.
I swallow down the truth and turn around. "Dally, I'm being 100% serious. Nothing happened yesterday."
He raises an eyebrow.
"Okay," I sigh. "110% serious."
He stands up and walks over to me. "I'll figure it out sooner or later Hannah. I just don't get why you're lying to me."
I look into his eyes just as he kisses me, I fall into the kiss wrapping my arms around his neck, and pulling him closer. We break apart and he leaves the room so I can get ready for the day.
I have a quick shower, and let my hair dry naturally. I slip my outfit on, and shove on some sneakers and I go downstairs to eat. I make sure to grab my book bag on the way.
"Morning Han." Soda says giving me a quick hug before rushing out the front door. I make a bowl of cereal and sit down beside Pony at the table.
As I'm eating Pony stares at me.
"What?" I ask setting my spoon down.
"I know what happened yesterday." He whispers. "Why're are you lying?"
I stare at my bowl and shrug. "It's just minor stuff Pony. It's nothing I can't handle."
"Okay." He tells me putting his hands up in surrender. I quickly finish up my cereal and me and Pony make our way to school.
When we arrive, he asks if I wanted him to walk me to my locker, but I tell him that I can find my way. We say goodbye and I waltz down the hallway, ignoring the stares and the comments some people are throwing towards me.
Once I get to my locker I quickly spin the combination lock, and dump all my things inside. I grab my binders for my classes, and close my locker heading to homeroom. As I walk to the class, a few girls, probably soc's, push past me causing all my books to drop to the floor.
