Quick little note before I let you continue.... I see that we've noticed the change between Scott and Alex in recent times and the rumours that they've broken up, I just hope that the both of them are happy and healthy and that everyone respects the both of their privacy. No matter how much we want it, we are not their friends and we don't really know what's going on in their lives so please can we respect them! Regardless of this I am going to continue to the end of this book as I have most of it written by now and when I write I don't see them as Scott and Alex, they are fictional characters just with faces that I recognise. I hope everyone is doing well and it's okay to be sad about it, we've seen their relationship grow and flourish. We don't know anything for sure yet! Thanks for reading! Xx

"Guys, come on! We're gonna be late!" Alex stood at the bottom of the stairs. He checked his watch again to see that it was quarter past eight, they had to be at Jessica's school for quarter to and drop Toby off before that.

Scott stood at the mirror in the hallway, trying to straighten the tie that hung from around his neck. Alex turned and watched him struggle, letting out a little chuckle. "You're a thirty eight year old man and you still don't know how to tie a tie properly." He stepped forward and straightened it with ease, looking Scott dead in the eye as he did so.

"I'm just nervous." Scott stated, blushing a little. Alex smiled and called for the kids again.

"It will be fine. It's a school, nothing bad can happen." He reassured. Just then Jessica and Toby both came clattering down the stairs.

Toby had his hands shoved in his pockets and his backpack swinging from his arm, his hair was stuck up all over the place and his eyes were still glazed over with sleep. He had overslept, big time. In fact he had only just woken when his dad shouted not five minutes ago. He hadn't slept most of the night, his thoughts failing to silence until about seven am, when he fell asleep from complete and utter exhaustion.

Jessica on the other hand was dressed extremely smartly in her new school uniform. The school that the boys had enrolled her in was private and had athletics, music and arts programs. It also had tutoring classes which would help her to catch up on everything that she'd missed.

Neither Alex nor Scott had fully forgiven her. They would never fully trust her again and this new start was as much for her as it was for them. They weren't going to risk anything like that happening again.

They all climbed into the car and with a quick rev of the engine, sped off down the road. They dropped Toby off first, who slumped off through the school gates with a shuffling hurry to his step. Alex watched him and remembered back to when Scott and him were first together and when he used to be on a bad day and the way-

"Alex, come on. We're gonna be late." Scott's voice was soft but snapped Alex out of his thoughts. He turned to look at Scott with worried eyes. "Do you- um-" Scott's eyes flicked up to the mirror to see that Jessica was listening intently. "Do you want to talk about that when we get home?" He asked, softly and Alex nodded slowly.

The car then began to move again and they were on their way to Jessica's new school. It wasn't long before they pulled up outside the big red building. It was three storeys high with large, clean windows. Kids piled through the doors as the principal greeted them, criticising their uniforms and smiling in welcome.

Scott and Alex both looked at each other, smiling, before all three of them got out of the car. They walked towards the door and the principle broke into a huge beaming smile. She was small and round, with dark brown hair pinned back into a bun. Her chestnut skin glowed in the sunlight. She had kind eyes and a dazzling smile.
