Till Death Do Us Part?

The Truth

Rose POV 

A few shift has past and i still wasn't confronted by anybody ....... well at least i thought . It was the middle of shift and i was cooking and everybody all a sudden came in the kitchen and thats when Herman asked " So what this thing between or was between you and Joe?" I looked at Joe and he nodded letting me know its ok for me to tell . "Well , lets see here ........ back in my teen years wasn't the greatest , my dad was put in prison and my mom was killed . All i had left was my brother Cory . Me and him were really close and he never wanted me to be around his friends , I never knew why till I was around them and I saw why . They always wanted me to do stuff for them , sex and drugs . I never did it for them but the only guy that was respectful to me was Joe , he was a sweetheart . We dated for 3 years and i got pregnant but i lost the baby cause my placenta didn't attach to my uterus correctly . We stayed strong and stayed together . We lost contact after my brother was killed . He was the leader of a drug gang ." ,it was silent for a moment then i started again , "And before you ask how i got my street name Midnight was cause i was always out my house by at midnight and that's when I did all my work. I sold drugs but NEVER did them except weed . I wasn't proud of it , but you did anything to get money . I totally understand if you guys hate me now ." I finished . Chief spoke up " Nobody is going to hate you we all have things we aren't proud of ."

Severide POV 

Wow , i felt really bad for her . I could tell by her eyes she was hurting deep down . It looks like she needs to get stuff off her chest and I wanted to go up to her and hold her letting her know everything was going to be ok . Once everybody talked to her , except Joe , I went up to her and blurted out with no control " Would you want to go to the bar with me after shift and get to know each other better ?" She kinda looked at me and smiled "Sure , i'd love to."  I smiled "AWESOME "  she seemed like an amazing woman  . I left with a huge smile on my face . 

Joe POV

I was about to walk over to Rose when Severide beat me to her . I couldn't hear what they were saying but i heard Rose say " Sure , i'd love to ." , Severide was always trying to get every girl that walked in to the firehouse so i knew he was trying to get her . It made my blood boil . After he left i went up to her i asked if she wanted to talk in private , we went to the meeting room . We talked about what we  missed out and what happened in each others lives . One thing i won't tell her is i was engaged once . 

Rose POV 

After i got done talking to Severide , Joe came up to me and i'v missed him so much . We went to the meeting room and catched up on each others lives . But one thing I won't tell him is about my boyfriend and how he was the leader of a drug gang . One thing we didn't loose is the connection between each other .
