Midnight

Rose POV

It was late at night and I had to take the trash out. As I was walking out I heard a name I wish I was never called, "Yo, Midnight." Jordan said. How did he know where I live? I turned around "What?" I said "I was just checking on my home girl." He said "I ain't your home girl, speaking of home, go home." I said walking back to my home. "What is your problem Midnight?" He asked annoyed "Nothings my problem." I said back "Then why do you have an attitude everytime I come around?" He asked "Because I don't want you back in my life." I said walking back into my house. "Alright cool, you want to play those games, let's play them."  He said getting in his car and driving off. That sent chills down my spine. I called Joe to see if he wanted to come spend the night. After 5 minutes he arrived. As he came in we shared a hug and kiss. We sat on the couch and was watching T.V. and about 30 minutes of watching we shared a "quick" kiss which turned into a night of playtime.

*on shift

A few hours after shift started I was outside talking to a few kids that live near my area. After they left I was heading back inside when I heard "Yo,  Midnight." Jordan screamed at me. When he screamed he got squads attention. I turned around and walked toward him "What the hell do you want?" I said back "Let's talk in my car." He said "Do you seriously  think I'm stupid? I'm not getting in the car with you." I said and by the time I was about to turn around he grabbed my arm and started dragging me towards his car. I was trying to get out of his grip until Joe and Severide come running toward me and he let go.

Joe POV

I was sitting at the kitchen table when Capp came in asking if I knew the guy Rose was talking to. I got up to see what he was talking about. At first I didn't recognize him but I started to recognize him after awhile. "Who is that?" Severide asked me. "It's a guy she knows from back in the day. He was the one who confronted her and slammed her against the car and when I showed up he let go and drove off."  I answered. "Well he's starting to get aggressive with her again." Severide said. By the time I turned to see what he was talking about, the guy started dragging her towards his car. Me and Severide started running toward them, by the time we got to her he let go and said "See you around Midnight." Then got in his car and drove off. "Are you ok?"  I asked Rose
"Yeah....Yeah, I'm okay." She said and started walking back to the Firehouse.

Rose POV

"Yeah....Yeah, I'm okay." I said to Joe. What does Jordan want from me? Why is he bothering me? Is all I could think of as I walked back into the firehouse.

*several hours later

I was sitting on my bed when Gabby came in and said "Hey, meet in the common room, we want to talk to you." Now I was scared to what they wanted to talk about. I go anyway and when I walk in everybody was there. "Listen we aren't trying to get in your business, but we got curious why you are being called Midnight by that guy, and who's that guy?" Herman said "Um.....where do i start? Well first off the guys name is Jordan he was in my ex-boyfriends gang. He is the leader of the gang now because my ex was killed in gun violence. And second, the reason I'm getting called Midnight is because I used to always be out after midnight and go hang with either my brothers gang or my ex's gang. Usally gangs have names for each other so I was called Midnight. I guess you could say that's my street name." I finished and by then the alarms went off.
