Chief POV

51 was off call until we got an update about Joe and Rose. "Alright listen up everyone no matter what happens today we will have Rose and Joe's back a hundred percent. If they need any help we will give it to them. Today is a very tragic day for the both of them but we have to keep strong for them. Does everyone understand me?" There was nodes and yes sir's. We waited and waited until we finally got the news.

Choi POV

After we got Rose to ICU I went out to give the information to everybody in the waiting room. "We did x-rays and a MRI on Rose. She had a dislocated shoulder, and several lacerations. That was the stuff you could tell from the outside. The inside was a little more sever. She had internal bleeding from the kidney, which we fixed. There was bleeding in the spleen area which we think will fix itself. She has a cracked skull, and luckly there is no brain bleed, but maybe a little swelling will a cure. Hopefully that doesn't happen. She should be waking up anytime soon. She may be groggy from the Anaesthesia. Joe is fine other than some lacerations and a concusion. He should be out tomorrow, and Rose Will be in here for another week or two." I finished. "Thanks man for letting us now, when can we see them?." Severide asked. "You can go see Joe, but I only want one person at a time in Rose's room, so you don't overwelm her." I responded, and continue on.

Joe POV

I was watching TV, wondering about Rose and how everything is or if She is still alive. When I was about to call for a nurse, Chief walked in. "Hey Chief." I said. "Please tell me you have heard something about Rose." I added. "She got out of surgery a few minutes ago, she has a dislocated shoulder, several lacerations, she had some internal bleeding, cracked skull, and she might have a little swelling in the brain. The police and several witnesses confirmed that your light was green, and the truck that hit you guys was on his phone texting. He was arrested and charged with wreckless driving." Chief responded. Me and Chief talked for a bit, then I seen everybody else. After everyone left, I called for a nurse. "What can I do for you Joe?" my nurse asked. "Is there a way I can go see my fiance, Rose Jones?" I asked, afraid the answer would be no. "Let me go see if she's awake." she said. I waited a few minutes. "She would love to see you Joe, let me go get a wheelchair." she said.

Rose POV

I've been awake for a few minutes when the nurse walks in.  "Hi Miss Jones, would you like any visitors?" she asked "I would love to see my fiance. Is he ok or able to come see me? His name is Joe Cruz." I asked. "He actually was asking if he could come see you. He doing great. Let me go get him." the nurse responded back. "Thank you!" I said. "Of course" she smiled at me. A few minutes past and that's when Joe was finally bought to me. "Hey babe." Joe said standing up from the wheelchair to come sit on the bed. "Hey honey, how you feeling?" I asked concerned. "I'm doing fine. A little sore is all." he answered, then added "I should be the one asking how YOU feel?" I shrugged my shoulders. "You know, like I was hit by a truck." me and him laughed a little while we stared into each other's eyes. "You know, you take my pain away every time I see." I said. He didn't say anything just leaned in and kissed me.

Joe POV

After me and her got done kissing She said "I want to get married to you before it's to late babe. I was thinking before we got hit that my life has been super crazy latley. I've almost died several times, and I don't want to leave this earth without being married to my handsome man." She said putting her hand on the side of my face, and then continued "I don't want a big wedding, I don't want a wedding at all. Simply going to court is all I want, if that's ok with you?" she finished. "Of course babe, whatever you want is fine by me. If you just want to go to court and get married, then that's what we will do." I said. She smiled, and puckered her lip "kiss please." she said. I chuckled and gave her the kiss she wanted. "I love you." she said grabbing my hand. "Nothing in this world will ever describe the amount of love I have for you." I responded back. She smiled at me and pulled me in for a hug. We cuddled for a few hours before I was taken back to my room.
