Don't Take Stuff for Granted

Rose POV
It's been about a month now since I was framed, and it's been a living hell. My cell mate was pretty nice. She is in here for selling and possessing drugs. She has 4 more years to go. Her name is Victoria. There was a routine in Prison. Half of the prison gets 1 hour out of the cells to interact and eat breakfast, then they go back and the other half comes out, same thing happens for lunch and supper. "Hey Rose, what do you think they are having for lunch?" Victoria asked. "Probably the same old meatloaf and mashed potatoes." I responded back. I didn't really talk much, except to Victoria or until someone asked me something. I got to talk to Joe everyday or every other day.

*Skip a few hours*

I was in my cell talking to Victoria when a officer came in. "Rose Jones, please come with me." The officer said. " I got up expecting to be put in handcuffs, but to my suprise I wasn't. I was lead into a room where Peter Stone was Sitting. I sat down in front of him. "Hi Peter." I greeted him. "Hi Rose, so I got some news for you." He said. "Oh really? OK what is it?" I said back, not knowing what to expect. "Earlier this morning one of Seth's friends confessed that him and Seth killed Abigail. Abigail is Seth's ex and he wanted to get "revenge" on you because he was jealous that you are with Joe and not him. Him and Keith, that's the guys name who confessed, killed Abigail and thought if they frame it on you, your life would become hell for as long as you are in here." Stone informed me. I was shocked to hear about all the information that was just thrown at me. "You, Rose Jones, are free to go. You have a special person outside ready to pick you up!" Stone finished. I was taken to the storage room where they store your belongings when you come to the prison, and they gave me my clothes and shoes back so I could get ready to leave. As I was getting closer and closer to the prison gate, I just had the feeling of freedom come over me. I saw Joe waiting for me. Each step, and every inch I took I got more and more excited to be back into Joe's arms again. We was never allowed to hug while he visited me, but we could hold hands. When I finally got close enough I lunged into Joe's arms. "I missed you so much babe." I said in his neck. "I missed you to babe, I'm so glad to finally have you back in my arms." He wispered in my ear.  "Come on let's go see everyone at the firehouse." He finsihed. As we pulled away we kissed for the first time in along time. "I missed that the most" I said. He smiled. "I show you what I missed when we get home." He wispered in my ear. I laughed and punched him in the arm "shut up" I said will still laughing. He laughed along with me.

*over at the firehouse

We pull up to the Firehouse and walk to in. "O my gosh, Rose!" Gabby semi yelled. I got a hug from everybody. "It's good to have you back Rose." Cheif said. "How did they find you innocent?" Herman asked. "Earlier this morning one of Seth's friends confessed that him and Seth killed Abigail. Abigail is Seth's ex and he wanted to get "revenge" on me because he was jealous that i was with Joe and not him. Him and Keith, that's the guys name that came forward and confessed, killed Abigail and thought if they frame it on me, my life would become hell for as long as you are in here. I can tell you now that it WAS a living hell. Even though a month of my life went down the drain, I'm just so glad to finally be free. You alway hear people say don't take stuff for granted, and you never really understand it until you have something happen to you like I did, and I realized what that really means. We take, for example, freedom for granted, but when that gets taken away you realize that you shouldn't take stuff for granted, because you never know when it'll get taken away from you." I finished. For the rest of the day I spent time with everyone, catching up on everything.

Authors POV

*Later at home

Joe and Rose got home finally. They was both sitting on the couch, while Rose was sitting on his lap. "So I was thinking we should go out for dinner at some point this week. You know for a little celebration that you are out , and plus you are probably wanting real food." Joe said as he ran his hands up and down my thighs. "True, I would love to go for dinner at some point, but for right now I want to spend time with you ." Rose finished. They kissed, and well, you can Imagine what happens after that.

I know this is just a chapter of just Rose, but it's all good because I'll have more people in the next chapter.

I hope to start updating more on this story and we are coming to a close end with this book, and then guess what? My other book will be out.
