* 1 year later

"Every one needs to evacuate the building now, before it callapes!" Chief semi yelled through the radio. Everyone was making their way torwed the exit. "Joe, are you almost out?" Chief asked through the radio. "Yes, chief I just got one more floor to go and I'll be ou...." before Joe could finish the building caved in. "JOE, JOE, CAN YOU HEAR ME!!!" Chief screamed through the radio. Fear flashed across everyone faces. The building enters and exits was engolfed in flames by this point. On the inside, Joe started to come back around to it. He tried to get up, but couldnt. He was trapped under heavy objects. He somehow managed to get his head up to his radio. "Chief, I'm trapped under heavy debris, and I'm out of oxygen." Joe managed to say. It was hard for him to say because he could barly breath due to the smoke and the stuff on top of him. "Ok Joe hang in there we are trying Our best to figure a way in there, hang tight." Chief said trying to reassure Joe. At this point Joe knew he wasn't going to make it out alive, and so did everyone standing outside. The only thing on Joes mind was Rose and his baby girl. He could feel the life he had left in him slip away. He took the little energy he had left to tell Chief something. "Ch...Chief, please te....tell Rose I....I Love her. Te....tell h...her she gave m.....me the best li...life I could of as....asked for. Te...tell her th....that she blessed Me wi.....with a....a beautiful daugh....daughter. Tell th...them I love th...them very much. Ple....please ta...take care of th....them." Joe finished as the radio went silent. Joe had slipped into a sleep he would never wake from. He left behind a wife and a daughter. Everyone was heart broken to lose a friend, a family member. It hurt them even more as they thought about Rose and Bella.

*later that day

Chief, Lieutenant Severide, and Lieutenant Casey walked up to the front door of Rose and Joe's house. They gave each other one last look before Chief knocked. Rose opened the door to see the three men standing in front of her. You could tell by her face what Chief was about to say. "I'm sorry Rose, but Joe died in the line of duty today." Chief said to Rose. The three mens heart chartered as Rose grabbed on to the door frame, holding herself up from falling. "Joe wanted me to deliver a message to you Is it ok if we come in?" Chief asked.......

Rose POV

I sat up in my bed. Joe wasn't beside of me. I looked at the time "10 a.m." the clock said. I could hear Bella downstairs playing and laughing. I got up and got ready for the day. I couldn't believe it's been a year since I had Bella. I felt blessed everyday. Who knew I would of made it this far? I kept thinking about that dream I had. I was happy it was just a dream, and not real life..... I made my way down stairs. I found Joe sitting on the floor playing with Arabella. "Hey honey." I said. "Good morning babe." Joe said as I sat down beside of him. He wrapped his arm around Me, while I laid my head on his shoulder.  As me and Joe watched Bella play I was thinking about the amazing life Joe has given me. He has helped me out through so much, given me His full support, and blessed us with a beautiful daughter. I promised him something on our wedding day that I will never break and  It was  'till death do us part.'
