Rey woke up without an alarm. She was so nervous she couldn't sleep. As she rubbed her eyes she heard Amethyst run out of the dorm and almost fall out of the building and it made Rey wonder if she was going to be late until she looked at the clock.
She went to go see what was happening from looking out of the kitchen area window, guessing Amethyst was going somewhere. There was a young(ish) looking man. They were talking and he was holding her hand. She couldn't quite see his face but she could guess that he was the man that Amethyst was talking about.
They parted ways and he walked to the right and she went back inside.
'I wonder who he is' Rey thought as Amethyst walked back into the dorm and into the kitchen area.
"Hi." Rey said. "Are you nervous about today too?"
"Not really. Come on you have nothing to be nervous about."
"Why do we have a kitchen if we have a lunch hall?" Rey asked.
"For recreational kitchen purposes and for kids who do cooking classes." Amethyst responded.
"Oh. That question kept me awake. And then I fell asleep and had a dream I screwed up in class."
"So. Have you decided what you'll wear?"
"Something. I don't really know." Rey said.
"First impressions are important."
"Oh I suppose right?"
"There really isn't anything to be worried about. The only 'scary' person I know is Kylo Ren."
"Kylo?"
"Mr Ren" she rolled her eyes.
"Is he a strict test marker?"
"Yes not gonna lie."
Rey sighed. "I want to go back to my old school. I'm scared." It was better the devil she knew.
"Hey. You'll be okay. You're strong and brave. Be thankful you don't have Skywalker. He's nice but he tries to be a balance between fair and strict. Which is like weird. He makes awful jokes sometimes too and puns and sometimes he gives you the sassy looks. He doesn't sass you but his eyes do... urghh."
"Skywalker. What kind of surname is that?!" Rey asked, surprised.
"I know."
Rey smiled. "Wish I was in your classes."
"You are. Third hour and lunch." She shrugged.
"I wish I was confident like you too."
"Trust me. You'll make friends. In Ren's class you easily form a bond with your classmates. It's like a thing they do...become united in hate. And I'm gonna TA for him. So I'll like grade your tests."
"Thanks." Rey smiled softly.
"Mm hmm. I'm gonna start going since my building is kinda far. See you later." She waved and walked out the door once again.
'Still strange.' she thought

The moment she walked into the room there was a stillness in the air. Luckily Finn was in her class as well. "Finn"
"Rey" he acknowledged
Kylo Ren walked in the room and everyone shut up. Without introducing himself he just started on what he required for the class and so on. No one seemed surprised except Rey. She kept that to herself though.
To keep herself focused and not forgetting things, she quick scribbled down what he was saying. "Excuse me am I getting in the way of your doodling? Obviously not you're continuing to do so!" Kylo Ren spoke to Rey. Although she had no idea he was talking to her. She was too busy catching up to what he'd been saying. Her wrist was even starting to ache from the constant writing.
