Rey sat in Han's security room on the floor, petting Chewey. That was where she studied most days and hid away from everything. Unlike her father, Han had actually reached out to her, acted like he cared. She even helped Han repair wiring sometimes. "Did yo know Hux is dating the new art teacher?" Han asked her. Sometimes they gossiped. Which was really just Han trying to make conversation with her.
"Match made in heaven. From what I can gather that art teacher is so weird." Rey responded.
"Art teachers usually are." Han said like it was a fact of nature.
"Rumour has it MT Bizz is gonna toothpaste all the teachers cars. But since I'm always so bored these days. Chewey and I made a plan to prevent it."
"You want to play dominoes."
"I'd rather play poker!" Rey said.
"Kid you don't know how to play poker..."
"Yes I do." Rey said and smiled proudly.
"Alright. We will play poker but don't cry if I clear you out."

Leia was walking towards Han's security room near the end of lunch when Kylo approached her. "Ben I mean Kylo...." Leia began.
"Look I have decided mother that it doesn't matter what you call me. I know you love me either way. Or so Amethyst says. So mum....umm....you're a woman."
"How long did it take you to work that one out?" Leia asked dryly.
"I don't know." Kylo bowed his head. "I need help picking out a ring for Amethyst."
"Go with her together. No one just buys rings for the girls anymore."
"Is that true?"
"Yes it's true. Now go get on with class."
"Yes mother of course..." he replied and broke into a run when he realised the time.
Leia opened Han's door. "Can you believe our son asked me what ring to get?"
"No one does that anymore!" Han said.
Leia's eyes widened when she realised he was playing poker against Rey.
"Rey don't you have class sweetie? Finals are soon."
"It's only Hux. He's always so mean." Rey responded.
"Hux is running late anyway. The art teacher is helping him with something." Han said.
Rey snorted at that. "Yep." she uttered, popping the 'p' as she deal her hand which was better than Han's.
"You know if this was real poker with money. You'd own me the worth of this entire school building by now." Rey said.
"I have just had an idea kid. We both go to one of those underground casinos. We even our chances of winning and then split the cash."
"I don't know. You bet with your kidneys in those type of games." Rey said.
"Han!" Leia scolded.
"We have to retire some day!" stated Han to Leia. "My favourite student and family member should help me."
"Han no gambling anywhere. Rey please don't listen to him."
"Thought for a minute I could be useful for something. Guess it was short lived. At least someone in this family likes me."
"I love you Rey." Leia said as Rey went past her.
She left the office quickly and Leia sat down to pet Chewey. "The kid is lonely." Han said. "So lonely if you asked her rob a bank. She would to earn your approval."
