Chapter 31: Candace the Blondie

I wipe my tears away and walk over to the girls. I force my self not look back at Harry. Perrie hands me my wallet and before I can say thank you, Sophia comes running up to me and grabs my arm. She takes us inside the house and in the kitchen.

"Did you see?" My voice cracks at the end.

She nods slowly and pulls me I to a hug.

"Im sorry Kendall. I'm so so sorry."

"It's fine."

"Oh, and I know about the whole contract thing." She tells me like its not a big deal.

"How?"

"Liam told me. Don't worry, it's only me and him who know. And I won't tell any body." She tells me.

"Oh, um, thanks." I wipe the extra tears.

"Hey, if Harry is seeing someone now, why can't you?"

"I have someone in mind, but he's too far away."

"Ohh! Who?" She wiggles her eyebrows and hooks her arm with mine, heading downstairs.

"Umm, my ex." I look down.

"Your ex? Some girls don't wanna be near them. But does he like you back?" We head out the glass doors and back to the party.

Half the people have left.

"Yeah, when I went back to New York he asked me out, again."

"And you said no, didn't you?"

"I didn't say anything."

"Name?"

"Jason."

"Ohh! Jason! I like!" She said.

"So, what-" Sophia gets cut off by my phone ringing.

"Hello?"

"Kendall! I have something to tell you!" Jenna....

"Hey Jenna, what's up?"

"You know how we moved here to England?"

"Um yeah?"

"Ok, Jason just called me and told me that he's staying here with his grandparents for 3 weeks to be near you!!!" She screamed.

My mouth hung open.

"Kendall? Kendall, are you there?"

"Uh, yeah. Let me call you back."

"K cool bye." She said fast.

"Who was that?" Sophia asked.

"It was my friend telling me that Jason is staying here for 2 weeks with his grandparents."

Sophia stars jumping and clapping her hands.

"That's a sign! If I were you I would call him."

"Not now, maybe when I get home."

Sophia nods and we walk back to the others. The boys are around Perrie and Eleanor, and Harry is sitting next to that blonde....but they don't look like they're 'together'. I just sit down next to Eleanor and she smiles at me, and I return one back. Harry looks at me then looks back down at his fingers. I just play with my ear and look down.

Everyone starts talking and stuff, then it was time to go home. Harry looked at me and motioned for me to come.

"See you guys." I say.

The girls and I switch numbers and hug me, then the boys. I look at Harry and walk past him to the car. No one says a word. We get in the car and Harry drives to his house, OUR house. The only sound coming is from the radio which is low. The drive is 30 minutes and wasn't busy as the time we came. When Harry parks the car in the driveway I get out of the car as fast as I can to get into the house. I unlock the door with the key Harry gave me and run up the stairs to my room to take a shower. As I try to close the door Harry sticks his foot out.

"Can I talk to you?" He asks and makes his way to my bed, sitting in the edge.

"Ok, I know you saw me kiss that girl at Niall's place." He said, making eye contact with me.

I cross my arms, my left leg holding my weight and shrug.

"Ok, good for you." I say.

"Erm, she's my new girlfriend." Harry says.

That just broke my heart. AGAIN. I nod while playing with my nails and biting the inside of my cheek.

"Oh."

"Are you ok with that?" He asks.

"Uh, yeah. Um I have to take a shower so..."

I guess Harry got the message and left. I let the tears fall again as I take my bikini off, and even more in the shower. It hurts to have someone you admire so much doesn't like you back. Even if they're famous. I sit in the shower with my hands on my face, crying.




NEXT MORNING.

I wake up to the suns rays. I need to go to Jenna's and spill my heart out to her. She's literally like my own personal therapist. Right on cue, she texted me saying that I should come over for breakfast. And that Jason is going to come too. I sorta got excited cause he was going to be there. I put on a pair of ripped jean shorts, a gray tank top, a cream colored jacket, and a pair of my white converse. For makeup, i just do my eyeliner, sultry styles. I add my baby lips to my lips then take my wallet, phone and head downstairs. As I'm going down the stairs I hear giggling and laughing. When I enter the kitchen I see that blonde Harry was with earlier. She's leaning onto the counter while Harry is cooking. She turns around when she hears my foot steps and plasters and fake smile on her caked face.

"Hi! I'm Candace." She says with a high pitched voice.

"Hi, I'm Kendall." I say.

Harry turns around to see me.

"Good morning Kendall." He says blankly.

"Morning." I say while looking through the fridge to find something to drink. I just take out my left over frappachino.

"Where you going?" Harry asks.

"Jenna's to have breakfast." I say and leave.

"Well, it was nice meeting you." Candace says.

"You too." I try to force a smile.

I then look at Harry then leave. I then think that I don't have a car, so I walk back into the house to see that Harry is alone in the kitchen.

"Back so soon?" He smirks.

"Um, do you mind if I drive your car to Jenna's? I don't have a ride..." I ask nervously.

"Yeah, the keys are on the table next to the door."

"Ok, thanks."

"Don't wreck it." He jokes.

"I'm not!" I call back, earning a chuckle.

I take the keys and get into Harry's car. It's driving like in the US, but instead everything is on the opposite side.

Harry's Range Rover roars as I start the engine. I back away from the drive way and drive to Jenna's and Carly's apartment. I use my iPhone to use as directions to the apartment. It only took 15 minutes to get there.

I park the car in the guest parking lot and head to the stairs. I knock on the door and Carly opens it.

"Hey Kendall!" She jumps.

"Hey Carly!" I copy her and laugh.

"Come." I walk into their apartment and it looks good. Everything is furnished and decorated.

"Kendall!!!!!!!!!" I hear Jenna scream.

She comes up to me and hugs me.

"You saw me yesterday." I laugh.

"I know but it feels like a year!" She says.

Jenna pushes me down on the couch and starts talking. I told her about Harry's new girlfriend and stuff and the pool party.

"What the fuck? I bet she's one of those girls with a caked face freak." She scrunched up her face.

"...she is...."

"Eww! What the fuck." She says and I laugh.

A knock on the door startles us.

"Ready to get back with your ex?" She smirks.

"Just open the door." I whisper.

Jenna opens the door and hugs Jason. When he comes to the living room his eyes locks with mine.

"Hey." He smiles.

"Hey." I smile back.

He comes up and hugs me and I hug him back. He still smells the same.

"So. How's it going?" He asks.

"Uh, pretty good." I say.

"Cool..."

"Cool, how bout you?"

"I'm ok."

I nod. Jenna calls us for breakfast and we all take a seat. There at 4 seats, so it's me, Carly, Jenna, and then Jason. After breakfast I had to get back home cause Harry needed his car.

"Hey, is it ok if I catch a ride with you? I came in a cab." Jason says.

"Yeah sure." I say.

We say goodbye to Jenna and Carly then get into the car.

"Nice ride." Jason compliments.

"It's not mine, it's Harry's, but thanks."

"Right." He mumbles.

I start the car and Jason gives me the directions to his grandparents. It was a short drive, 10 minutes.

"Thanks for the ride Kendall."

"No problem." I smile at him.

"Umm, I guess your with Harry now." He says.

I stay silent and look down.

"Well, not really." I whisper.

Jason looks at me funny.

"If I tell you this you promise me you won't tell anybody."

His facial expression turned serious.

"I promise."

I took a deep breath and started.

"Harry and I aren't actually dating."

Jason raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"I was hired to date him."

"So your guys relationship isn't real?"

"No, it's not. Harry just one day decided to say something about dating behind other people's back. Which means he has a girlfriend who's tongue is going down his throat."

Jason laughs.

"I think I'm willing to give you another chance...."
