LILY:
"But mom, I don't want to go to boarding school. All my friends, EVERYONE I have ever known is here. Please, please rethink this!" I beg.
"Lily, you are going to boarding school!" my dad shouts, clearly frustrated.
"Sweetheart, it's a ship, it will be great and besides I bet you'll make a bunch of new friends," my mom states.
"I'm terrible at making new friends!"
"Well then just think of the great education you're going to get, they are one of the top public high schools," my mom says trying to point out all the 'good' reasons for leaving everything I've ever known and spending all school year on a ship.
"I don't car..."
"Enough!" my dad says, "you are going whether you like it or not."
I zip up my suitcase and sulk to the door. We load all my things into the trunk and I slam it shut. Dad gives me a hug and says, "I love you Lily and I'll miss you. Just remember this is for your own good."
"I know," I say as we break away and I clamber into the front seat. My mom gets into the driver seat an starts the car. I wave to my dad as we drive off.
After a five hour drive, we are finally here. My mom helps take my things to my new room and unpack them.
Then with tears streaming down both our faces, I hug her goodbye. We don't say a word as we break away and she leaves.
Just when I thought this couldn't possibly get any worse, someone who looks like a maid steps in and introduces me to my roommate.
What?!? Mom never said I had a roommate. And by the looks of it she's one of those sassy, hot girls.
The girl, whose name is apparently Mckenzie, begins unpacking her things. How many outfits she pulls out of her 2 extremely large suitcases, I have no idea. They just keep coming. Then she brings out like 15 sets of shoes and a few more sets of clothes. Oh but wait, that isn't even the best part. Just when I thought she couldn't possibly own anything more, the maid comes in with a huge mirror. By mirror I don't just mean a mirror you hang on the wall, I mean one of those mirrors that you attach to a counter thing with tons of drawers filled with every kind of make-up you could possibly think of. She looks over at me and smirks, one of those sassy, don't mess with me looks. I just roll my eyes.
I can already tell that it's going to take a lot of self-control in order for me not to murder this girl.
