LILY:
As I lay in bed I can't help but think of Blake. Why was he staring at me? Is he some sort of crazy murderer? Is he actually cute? Do I like him? Hmmm...I don't know him so how could I possibly like him. But I'll admit he is kinda cute.
Slowly the world fades away as I fall asleep.
~~~
"Beep! Beep! Beep!" My alarm goes off. Gosh darnit! Couldn't I sleep for 5 more minutes!
I force myself to flop out of bed. I look over and see that Mckenzie is still fast asleep, I contemplate whether or not I should wake her up. I decide she needs her sleep, maybe it will make her less cranky when she wakes up. Plus, who knows how late she stayed up at her party last night. So I begin to get ready for school.
I pull on a red flannel and some cute jeans. Then I pull on a pair of black lace-up boots and head to my first classroom for breakfast and then Math. I meet up with Sarah and we go together. I'm so glad that our math teacher didn't give us assigned seats. Especially because Sarah and I get to math pretty early, so then we can sit by each other.
~~~
But then, in Science class, we are assigned lab partners. My lab partner is none other than Blake, himself. Yep, the Blake I met at the party just the night before. Can you believe that?!? Now, I have to be lab partners with 'the crazy murderer' who is kinda cute.
The really weird thing is that in 6th and 7th grade there was a kid in my class named Blake. He had grayish blue eyes and brown hair... Now that I think about it, this Blake looks a lot like the Blake from 6th and 7th grade, just older. That's odd, why would he be at this school? Well anyways, what are the chances of this being the same Blake?
"Hey, what's up?" Abigail asks popping into my room.
"Just doing homework," I respond.
"So I heard you're lab partners with Blaaaakkkee," she laughs.
"Ya, whatever."
"What? You don't think this means something. I mean you meet at a party with tons of people there, then he stares at you from across the room, and now your lab partners. I mean, hello! You were meant to be together!"
"What? No! I literally just met him yesterday! But you know what's weird?"
"That you like him?" she jokes.
"No, I just feel like I know him."
"How?"
"From Middle School. There was a Blake in 6th and 7th grade at Lincoln Middle School and he looked almost just like this Blake..."
"Really? That's weird. I dare you to ask him if he went to Lincoln Middle School at dinner tonight."
"No, that's really weird."
"So, what does that matter. You have to!"
"No!"
"Pleaseeeee..."
"Fine, but only because it's going to annoy me if I don't know."
"Yay!"
"I don't get why you're so excited about me asking if he went to Lincoln Middle School or not," I say.
She just smirks.
