BLAKE:
I open my eyes and look at my clock. It's 8:11. It's 8:11! Oh man, school starts in less than 20 minutes. I must have slept through my alarm. I practically jump out of bed. I hurry and get dressed. I quickly comb my hair, tie my shoes, and grab my bag for school. Then I race out the door and head down to the 'Man Pig Out' for a quick breakfast. I order a stack of 5 pancakes with syrup and I gobble them up in under 5 minutes. Then I run to math class. I get to math class at exactly 8:30, but my teacher still gives me a detention slip for not being in class 5 minutes early like we are supposed to be. Great, so much for being a good student in this school.

Now it's time for Science class. I just remembered we are dissecting frogs today.
Oh, great. We get to, more like have to dissect a frog. This is the day where all the girls gag and complain while the guys do all the work. I'm so excited...not.
I walk into class already dreading it. I take my seat by Lily and the teacher starts explaining what we will be doing. I look over at Lily and she looks unusually happy.
Well, I guess that makes sense. I would be excited if knew I got to sit there and do nothing and still get a good grade.
When the teacher is done talking, I begin dissecting the frog. I'm impressed as Lily sits there watching attentively.
"Can I dissect some now?" Lily asks excitedly.
This is not happening. A girl is going to dissect a frog! And she actually wants to! Something is seriously wrong!
"Um, sure," I reply handing her the equipment.
She really is a weirdo. I guess my face shows signs of what I am thinking, because she asks, "What?"
"Well, do you really want to dissect this frog?" I ask curiously.
"Are you kidding me?!? Why wouldn't I want to?"
"I don't know. I just thought all girls hated seeing dead, bloody things. Or maybe they just liked to make the guys do all the work in science labs."
"Maybe MANY girls, but not ALL girls," she says smiling.

After science class, we clean up the frog guts and head out of class.
"Hey, Lily," I say.
"Ya?"
"You did really good today." I smile. "Thanks for proving me wrong," I finish.
"Anytime," she says laughing.
Ohmigosh, she is seriously amazing!
After my final class, I meet up with Thomas at the guy hangout.
"Um, you watched someone get eaten by a flying half pig half elephant creature," he guesses.
I stare at him with a weird and disturbed face.
"What? Did I get it right?" he asks laughing.
"Um, no. Lily actually helped dissect the frog!" I say smiling, a bit too much.
"Really?!? Well, that just proves that she really is a weirdo."
"No, she's just different. And different isn't always so bad."
"Oh really, look who's defending, little miss Lily," Thomas says taunting me. I roll my eyes and order some nachos.
