21: Jackson's Visit

BLAKE:

Jackson is finally coming to visit me. He should be here any second now and I literally cannot wait.

"So where's the girl?" Jackson asks from behind me.

I turn around and we laugh as I embrace him in a hug.

"Dude you have no idea how good it is to see you!" I say excitedly.

"You too man."

I help him carry his luggage to my room.

"So where's Honest Thomas?" he asks.

Thomas walks into my room laughing at the nickname. Remembering how he was the one who told Jackson that there was a "girl".

"Hey man," Thomas says while bro hugging Jackson, "glad to finally meet you. You're in literally every single story Blake tells me. It's about time I meet the guy who saved Blake's life."

"Hi, sorry we're late," Lily says knocking and coming in, with Sarah and Abigail in close pursuit.

Jackson whispers in my ear, "is that the girl?"

I give him a glare and he knows that's her.

"Girls, this is Jackson. And Jackson this is Lily, Abigail, and Sarah," I say introducing them.

"Nice to meet you," Lily says.

We all talk for a bit before Sarah exclaims, "well, I think we are going to go shopping before the ship leaves again tonight, so I guess we better go." They say goodbye and scurry off the boat and off towards the mall.

"Bye!" We say in unison.

Thomas and I lead Jackson towards the guy hangout.

"So tonight we have a football game, so we have to get ready at like 6:00 pm, sorry," I say to Jackson.

"Are you kidding? I'm so hyped to see you guys play football!" Jackson says, "I still can't even picture you playing football Blake."

I just smile and say, "it was Thomas's idea."

"Ya, and it was a great idea," Thomas says, "Oh, and Blake has a basketball game tomorrow."

"You still baller huh?" Jackson asks.

I laugh, "Ya I guess so."

"Here we are!" Thomas says as we arrive at the guy hangout. Jackson marvels at how big it is.

"Dude, this is amazing!" Jackson says amazed at all the geeks playing video games, nerds studying, and jocks practicing.

We head straight for the 'Man Pig Out' and order pizza, hotdogs, fries, and sodas for dinner.

"This is the life," Jackson says devouring a slice of pizza. Playing on the TV is the Seattle Seahawks. They are playing against the Arizona Cardinals. Of course, the Seahawks are winning. 

Thomas and I suit up for the football game and Jackson goes and finds a seat.

The other team wins the coin toss and they chose to kick off first. Good, the last thing I want to do is kick off on the first play and mess up, with Jackson watching. He would never let me live it down. But that does mean I have to kick off the second quarter... well whatever, it's still better.

I go and sit by Thomas on the bench. "What would happen if Jerry got hurt?" I ask him.

"Then I would be QB, but our offensive line is too good to let him get hurt," he replies.

Darn, I really want him to play.
