BLAKE:

I slept really good last night and would be still sleeping if my stupid alarm clock didn't go off. Oh, wait! Isn't today the first day of school?

I get up, pull on a white t-shirt, and slip into a pair of jeans. I comb my hair and splash water on my face.

Man, I hate school, I wonder if I could just skip school? I mean, ya we're on a ship, but I'm sure I could find somewhere to hide. I really can't be much harder than it was back in middle school.

I sneak out of my room, turn a bunch of corners, and walk onto the elevator. I press 2 and it jerks down. The doors slide open and I'm surprised to see so many guys down here.

I guess everyone skips school. Cool!

Unfortunately, the line for 'Man Pigout' is extremely long.

"Hey man!" Thomas says as he pats me on the back. "You're just in time for breakfast. I guess you must have heard how bad breakfast in the cafeteria is during school days. That's why almost all the guys get food here and eat it before going to class. While the girls eat breakfast in their first classroom."

"Sweet," I say trying to decide what I should get.

We get in line. As we are waiting I decide that should go to school, at least just to see how bad it really is here. After all, this will my first day of high school. Who knows maybe it won't be so bad? Then again I heard this is like one of the best public school high schools ever and Jackson had to pull some major strings for me to get in.

After 10 minutes of standing in line, we get to order. I get a caramel mocha, a hotdog, and 2 donuts. I am so hungry!!!

We eat as we walk to the office. When we get there some lady hands us our schedules for the first semester.

"I have science first," Thomas says.

"I have Math."

"Well see you later dude," he says as he walks away.

"Bye," I say sadly. Just as he rounds a corner I realize I have no idea where the math class is.

I eavesdrop on the 3 girls standing next to me and hear that 1 of them has math first. As they part ways, I follow this one pretty brunette. I try not to be weird about it, but I have to stay kind of close behind so I don't lose her.

School finishes and I meet up with Thomas.

"So, you're going to the party right?" He asks.

"Ya, I guess so," I reply, "but I'm definitely not going with that girl."

"Okay, whatever man. How was school?"

"I don't know. I guess it was okay. It was pretty easy,  but I know this is just the beginning and it's going to get way harder," I say.

"You're right about that. I have to go finish my homework, I'll see you at the party then?"

"I guess."

"Later dude."

"Later."
