LILY:

After Blake and I's fight last night I went back to my room and went to bed. I don't know what's going on between Blake and I. One minute we're having a blast in an arcade and the next we're yelling at each other in Taco Time. I guess right now he just needs his space.

I get in line at the cafeteria, when Jerry comes over.

"Hey," he says.

"Hey, how's your day been?" I ask.

"Okay, how bout you?"

"Nothing interesting."

We get food and go find a table to sit at.

"So, how about grabbing some dinner with me tonight?" he asks.

Is he asking me out? No, he couldn't be. He probably just wants to have dinner, like me and Blake did last night. Blake... What would he think? It doesn't matter what he thinks!

"Like as friends?" I ask just to be sure.

"Well, I was thinking more like a date. But..."

"Oh, um. I'll have to think about it."

He nods, "let me know by the time schools out."

"Okay." I get up and go sit with Abigail and Sarah.

"So, what were you two talking about?" Abigail asks.

"You guys are so nosey!"

"We know," Sarah replies.

"He just asked if I wanted to get dinner with him today after school."

"What?!?! What did you say?" Sarah asks excitedly.

"I said I'll think about it."

"What's there to think about?" Abigail asks.

"I don't know if I ready for a relationship and all the drama that comes with it."

"Honey, high school is all about drama," Abigail says.

"And relationships," Sarah adds.

"So you think I should go on a date with him?" I ask.

"A date never hurt anyone," Abigail says.

"Well, actually..." Sarah begins but Abigail cuts her off.

"But, it's your choice."

What could one date do? Jerry seems like a nice guy and a date will show me whether he really is or not. What about Blake? Blake?!? Why do I care about him!? I am going on a date with Jerry!!!

I pull out my phone and text Jerry.

L: 'So where we going for our date tonight?'

J: 'Glad you decided to go on a date with me'

J: 'How about I surprise you'

L: 'Okay, I look forward to it'

J: 'Me too, cya later'

L: 'Ya, bye!'

Well, there's no backing down now. The bell rings and I head off to class.

I just finished my makeup, now time to pick out an outfit. I pull out a mid-length gray dress with pink flowers on it. Not to fancy, not to casual. I pair it with gray flats and and a cute pink handbag.

I hear a knock on the door and open it to see Jerry in jeans and a black T-shirt. As we walk down the hallway toward the exit of the ship, I see Blake looking at us oddly.

I ignore him and ask, "so where are we going?"

"Applebee's!"

Applebee's, he's taking me to a sports bar?! Seriously!?!

"Great!" I say as realistically as possible.

When we arrive we are shown to a table almost immediately.

"This is nice," I lie.

He just smiles and nods his head.

We're silent until we order. I decide I should put an effort in.

"What is yo..."

"Shhh, the game's on!"

I look up at one of the numerous TVs and see the Warriors and the Cavaliers playing. Normally I really enjoy watching the Warriors, but this is suppose to be a date...

~~~
The rest of the date is just as bad as the beginning. It basically consist of him watching the game and shushing me while I tried to get a conversation going. Basically it was terrible. I mean what kind of guy takes a girl to a sports bar on a date in the first place?
