I Don't Know What To Do

We laid there cuddled up against each other. Naked. Skin to skin. Talking.

"Dylan I need to tell you something. My dad..." I heard snoring. I looked at him. He was asleep.

Really Dylan. I was about to tell you something important and then you just decide to fall asleep. Great..

He possibly hasn't gotten enough sleep I thought.

I looked over at the clock. 9:45
Crap. My mom is probably worried about me.

I got up slowly so I wouldn't wake Dylan and got dressed. He looks so adorable sleeping. I tiptoed to the door.

When I opened the door I felt a breeze that sent goosebumps down my legs. Pants. I forgot my shoes and pants. I was in such a hurry that I didn't even realize.

Come on Andrea. Get it together.
I went back to put my pants and shoes.

I didn't even realize there was a drum stick in the ground. I stepped on the drum stick and fell on my side. Ouch. That hurt. All you could hear was a huge thump.

It must've woke up Dylan because he sat at the edge of the bed looking down at me.

"Andrea? What are you doing on the floor?"

"I..I..I fell," I said. I was so embarrassed I started to blush.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah. Of course," I said like it was no big deal. "I just need to get home."

I was still on the floor. I got up, kissed Dylan, and headed home.

When I got home my mom was already up. There was a man that I didn't recognize but I had a feeling I knew him.

"Andrea. Where have you been?" My mom said. She walked up and hugged me.

"I was with Dylan." I looked at the man. "Mom who is this?"

She sighed.

"Andrea." His voice was deep. "It's me. It's your father."

I stared at him for a while then I looked away. I started to walk upstairs.

"Andrea..."

I held my hand up. "I need some time to process this. All of this. So if you don't mind I'll be in my room."

I went upstairs to my room.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I called Dylan.

"Hello."

"Hey."

"I can't stop thinking about you."

"I can't stop thinking about you either, Dylan."

"I wish you were with me cuddled up in my bed beside me again."

I bit my lip. "Believe me I wish I was too but I didn't come here to talk about what we did a few hours ago, not that I didn't enjoy it. On the contrary, I enjoyed it very much."

"I'm glad because that was a very special moment for me. So. What did you want to talk about?"

"Before I came to your house I got an email from my dad saying that he wanted to see me."

"Wait your dad?!"

"I know. Surprising right?"

"Yeah it is."

"Then when I got home he was there with my mom."

"Oh my god."

"Yeah. Dylan, I don't know what to do about this. Do you think I should talk to him even though he left me and my mom years ago?"

"I would give him a chance but, it's up to you what you want to do."

This is too much. I don't know what to do.
