When I came inside my mom was already standing there giving me a deadly stare. I did want to argue with her so I just went upstairs to take a shower.

As the hot water poured over my body, I thought about him. His touch, his voice, his seemingly good looks, and his gaze. That gaze that always me nervous, but in a good way.

I got out of the shower and got dressed. Suddenly my phone rang. Who could be calling me at this hour? I thought. It was late and I was very tired. I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Andrea," the voice from the other line said.

My eyes widened when I heard the voice. I knew exactly who it was, it was Dylan.

"Dylan? Is that you?"

"Yeah it me."

"What are you doing calling me right now? More importantly how did you get my number?"

"Sorry, you must think I'm a stalker by now."

"Actually that was exactly what I was thinking," I said playfully. He laughed. It was the most beautiful thing to hear.

"Yeah sorry, I just really wanted to hear your voice again. Can we talk or do you have to go to sleep?"

"No. I'm good. We can talk."

We spent some time talking. He told me that he was in a band called Slow Kids At Play, he was the drummer. He told me about the time he got replaced through Snapchat.

"Aww that sucks," I said.

"Yeah, but hey, I hope they are very successful with their new drummer," Dylan said sounding surprisingly cool.

"Well they're missing out. I bet you're the best drummer in the whole world," I said smiling. He laughed.

"Yeah, that I am."

"Great, maybe you should play something for me next time," I said with a yawn.

"Looks like someone's tired."

"No. I'm fine. Keep talking," I said with an even louder yawn.

"Andrea, you're tired get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow. Okay?"

"Awww. Okay."

"Goodnight, Andrea."

"Goodnight, Dylan."

I was about to hang up when we stopped me.

"Oh. Andrea, wait."

"Yeah."

"I'll play something for you soon."

"Really? You would do that for me? I was just kidding. You don't really need to."

"I want to. Don't worry. I like you Andrea. I want to do something for you."

"I like you too, Dylan. And you really don't need to. Really."

"I will. Now get some rest."

"Really? because..."

"Your stalling. Now get some rest. Right now! I will see you tomorrow."

"Okay fine. Even though I don't want to. You would really do that for me?"

"Yes. I will."

"Promise?"

He laughed. "Promise,"

"Okay. Night."

"Goodnight."

He finally hung up.

I closed my eyes and let out a long breath. I wanted Dylan. I didn't want to stay away from him for too long. It was like he came in, saved me from my boring old life, and was about to take me on a great adventure. I have waited for him my whole life and now I didn't want to lose him.
