"Dylan I'm not ready to go back to school," I whined.

"We're not going to school."

"We're not?"

"Well.. we are..."

"Awww."

"We're not going yet."

"We're not?"

"No not yet. Hop on."

I got on his motorcycle and held on to him tight. Then we were off.

We arrived at the boathouse.

"Dylan what are we doing here?"

"Sit down."

We both sat on the bench near the tree.

"Andrea, We've been through so much together. I've opened up to you, told you things about me that I would never tell anyone before. I've never felt this for anyone before. I love you Andrea. And I know this is so soon but I want to be with you for many many more years."

I froze. "Wait. Are you proposing?"

He laughed. "Oh no. We're way to young for that."

"Oh." I let out a breath I didn't I had held in.

He laughed. "Would it be so bad if I did?"

"No. Not necessarily, but yeah you said it we're too young."

"No it's not marriage. But what I do want is compromise." He took out a box. He opened it and there was a very nice ring it it. "It's a promise ring."

"Oh my god. Dylan. I can't take that. It must've cost a fortune."

"It wasn't a lot compared to my mother's engagement ring. Please. Except this gift."

"Okay."

"Can I help you put it on."

"Of course."

He put the ring on my wedding ring finger and kissed it.

"Promise that you will be with me forever?"

"I promise."

"I love you, Andrea."

"I love you too, Dylan."

We kissed and I had never felt happier in my whole entire life than I was at that moment.
