I can't open my eyes.

I'm aware that I am awake but I can't open my eyes no matter how hard I try.

I hear voices. "How is she?" Dylan. It's Dylan. He's here and he's worried about me.

"She is still unconscious but her vitals are stable. She was hurt pretty bad but she got lucky it wasn't to serious," a unrecognizable voice said. Probably a doctor.

Wait.. Am I in a hospital?

"Did you get a good look at the person who hit her?" It was my mother.

"No, Ms. Chandler unfortunately. It was a hit and run. That person probably got scared and drove away after realizing what they've done."

"They were smart to run away. If I would have know who it was I would have pressed charges or worse."

"We know who really the cause of this."

"He won't bother Andrea. At least not for now..."

"You two should go get coffee or something to eat. Andrea needs to rest. I'll keep you updated on how she's doing." I heard the shuffling of feet.

"Thank you, doctor."

"You're welcome." I knew he had already left after that

"Dylan. I appreciate you being here for Andrea."

"I care so much about her. I love her, Ms. Chandler."

"I can see that. You've been there for her when I wasn't. Thank you."

"No, thank you for accepting me to see your daughter."

"She's very lucky to have you. Come on, Andrea needs to rest. I'm going to get some coffee, will you join me?"

"Yes. Of course." they both started to walk towards the door.

I could sense that he standing in the doorway looking back at me with teary eyes. That look with desperation and hope that I will get better soon.

I want to hug him and never let go. I want him to hold me and never let go. I miss him. I love him.

Soon I couldn't keep my conscious awake. I was falling into the abyss.
