I could have been there dancing in Dylan's arms all night but I knew I couldn't avoid my dad forever I knew I'd have to face him soon.

"Andrea," Dylan said taking me back to reality. "We should take you back home."

I buried my head deeper in Dylan's shoulders. "Not just yet. A few more minutes please."

He held my face in his hands. "Hey, are you scared to go back?" He said looking deeply in my eyes.

I sighed. "Yes. I am." I took off his hands from the sides of my face and walked closer to the lake. I looked down at it watching the blue lights being reflected in the water. "I haven't seen or talked to my father. I mean, what would I say? I've hated him for so long because he left us and now he's come back? Why? I just don't understand,"  I said furrowing my eyebrows.

"That's understandable, but don't you think this is all happening for a reason? Maybe he wants to give you a chance and if he was would you give him one?"

"I'm not sure."

He came by my side and wrapped his arm around me. "Well it is a tough decision to make. Take some time to think about it."

I looked at him. "I will. Thank you Dylan, for being here for me when no one else can." I kissed him briefly.

he stroked my hair. "You know I would do anything for you."

"I would  do anything for you too. I love you."

"I love you too."

I felt nervous as we got closer and closer to my house. Come on Andrea you can do this. You can face him. I said in my mind but in truth I was terrified. We finally arrived. I got off Dylan's motorcycle almost falling on the hard cement luckily, Dylan caught me before I did.

"Whoa. Are you okay?"

"Yeah," I said between breaths.

"Nervous?"

"Yeah." I hated to admit.

"You'll be fine. I promise."

He got off the motorcycle, pulled me close to him, and kissed me.

Two people barged out of the front door. It was my father and my mother. We broke the kiss. They both ran to us.

"Who is this?" My dad asked.

"This is my boyfriend, Dylan."

Dylan held out his hand to him. "Nice to meet you sir."

My father looked at his hand but didn't take it. "We need to talk."

"I'm saying goodbye to Dylan."

"No you're not." He grabbed my arm violently. "I don't want you seeing him."

I pulled my arm away from his grip. "You can't do that."

"Oh, yes I can."

"She's allowed to see whoever she wants Andrea is old enough," my mom said defending me.

"Do you just let her go with strangers in leather jackets and motorcycles to god knows where?"

"Dylan is a good guy, David."

"You can't just come here and start controlling my life!" I yelled. Who does he think he is?

"I AM YOUR FATHER.."

"Was," I said interrupting him. "You were until you left us." I walked closer to Dylan and linked my arm around his. I whispered in his ear. "I knew this was a bad idea."

"Andrea! Get away from him!"

"No. He is my boyfriend and I can be around him if I want to!" I unlinked my arm from Dylan's. "Come on Dylan let's go."

I wanted to runaway with Dylan and never come back. I looked at my mother. I gave her a look that said Can I? and she gave me a nod that said Of course you can just be careful and come back soon.

My father reached out grabbing my arm violently once again, pulling me towards him. "YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITH HIM!"

"Let go of me!" I said jerking my arm away from his grip.

My own strength pulled me towards the street and before I even knew it I was standing in the middle of the road. I was fazed by this. I looked down at my feet seeing a sparkle in the asphalt. I was probably hallucinating because asphalt does not sparkle. Right? I heard Dylan yell out my name. I looked up. Suddenly there was ringing in my ears and I couldn't make out what he was saying to me. He pointed to his right and mouthed what I believed were the words "THERE'S A CAR HEADING TOWARDS YOU!" I turned my head to the left and saw a big bright light coming right at me. Then everything went black.
