Vale's POV
I certainly want to meet the CEO of the West Corporation. It will be good for my business and I don't want mysterious connections. My business is big enough to stand alone and enter the business world in New York but I still have to manage my other business in South Korea. Therefore, West Corporation is the easier access. I am entering two worlds here. I wonder if Mr. West is a Korean since he has a Korean Secretary but West is not an Asian surname. It would be easier that way.
"Mia amica, Vale. I am very happy to see you." I glanced to the woman who suddenly barge into my office and I was shocked at first to see someone came in without any appointments with me. I am ready to fire my secretary for this behavior.
But seeing my closest friend standing before my eyes I went to her and hugged her with all my might. I really miss her. I also made instructions to let her in without informing me before.
"Mica!! It is a pleasant surprise to see you here. I thought you are in Italy for a vacation."
"Well, I got practically bored of travelling from one country to the other. I might study our business for a while and enjoy it."
She doesn't want to be the heir of their business because she wants to be a chef and bake all day but her parents didn't allow her to take up that course instead they let her took Business.
"So, you are finally going to run your business. I might make some business connections with you. It will look good on the papers that the goddesses of business world merge their companies."
"That would be lovely mia amica but I am not yet settled." I know her very well that she won't agree immediately to the wishes of her parents. She wants to do everything in her own way.
"Tell me something about the rumors that escalated here in London, well actually only to me. Mind sharing? Who's the unlucky guy?"
When I mentioned that to her she was startled but regain her composure at once. "Uhmm. Well, I met him when I went to Seoul few months ago. His name is Renz and he's an artist. That is what he told me. We are having a friendly relationship, nothing serious actually."
As I was about to ask her another question, her phone suddenly rang and I glanced at the caller i.d. and it seems like the unlucky guy knows that we are talking about him.
"I'll be back. For a while. ."
Well well well. Nothing serious but she turned into a tomato because of the redness of her face. Hmm. I am happy for her to have a love life. She is young. She is just 21 years old but I want her to be careful.
"Sorry about that. So where were we?"
"Artist boyfriend of yours . . ."
"He's not my boyfriend! . ."
"Yet? You are clearly in love with that guy of yours Mica. Your face says it all."
"He will come here in London for an exhibit and asked if we could have a fancy dinner when he arrives."
"That sounds so wonderful. I want to meet this guy. I want to make sure he is honest to you. Dishonesty ruins the relationship, even if it is just a friendly relationship like what you are trying to say to me."
"I better go now. My father will have a search party if I don't make an appearance to our mansion now."
I laughed at her humor, clearly realizing she went to my office right after her plane landed in London. I can't blame her though, I would do the same if I was in her shoes.
I called my secretary in for some important matters. But before I could ring her, my phone buzzed with a message from Ms. Baek, the secretary I met few days ago. She said she has wonderful news and would like to set a meeting with me. That girl reminds me of Mica. Young and cheerful. Maybe that's the reason why I gave her my business number and told her to contact me directly.
I guess I will be meeting the CEO any time now.
