Chapter 15

Vale's POV

I am happy to hear from Yedin the good news. But I really need to check my make up to make sure that I still look fresh.

When I was about to go out from the comfort room, I bumped into a guy who is so masculine based on the muscles of his arms. And girl, I tell you, he smells so good. The scent reminds me of someone.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking." I said while fixing myself.

"It is my fault too, apologies." This voice. I definitely know this freaking voice. I was scared to open my eyes but when I slowly opened them, I saw the guy I never wanted to see anymore.

I was about to leave when he got my arm. .

"Disiree. ."

"Let go of me Mister. I have to go."

"Talk to me Disiree. Look at me. Can't you even stand a conversation with me after you left me years ago." With that I turned to face him but regretting it right after as I am really close to him.

I shoved my thoughts aside. He's probably making a joke here saying I was the one who left him when in reality it was him.

"Really now Zane?! I am the one who left when it is actually you who didn't want to see me anymore. You left me hanging and broke. How dare you say such things."

I pushed him and with all my strength I successfully got out from his grip.

He was left in rage. That serves him right. I went to meet up with other businessmen and business associates. I saw him leave the hall with a girl following behind her. I didn't know who was the girl since her back was facing me and they are quite far already.

Well, she must be his new conquest. But the hell I care. We're over since the day he didn't show up when he promised he would.

Flashback

After a week of sleeping together and promising each other that nothing will break us apart, I could say that I am one of the happiest person alive and kicking.

I am here in his condo, actually this is where I live now. Zane let me moved in with him since we have been in a relationship for 3 years and he wanted to settle down with me. It is already past 7 and no sign of him yet. He promised he would be home for dinner. I tried calling his phone but it went to the voicemail. My heart is beating so fast but I don't know the reason why. Somehow something is making me worried.

*ding dong*

Finally he's here! Thank God!

"Zane wh -"

I was shocked to see his mom on the doorsteps. I have met her twice but the encounters weren't good based on what I can see in her eyes.

"Mind if I come in, young lady?"

"Uhm. Sure. Please take a sit. Do you want something to drink?"

"I'll go straight to the point Disiree. I surely don't want you for my son. Gosh! You're both too young to live together. I get the fact that you finished college earlier but my son has more dreams. I'm glad to tell you that he finally woke up from his nightmare and he decided to leave you. I came here to deliver that news to you. He is expecting that by the time he comes back here, there will be no trace of you anymore. Oh, I almost forgot, he left the country few minutes ago that's why you can't contact him."

After that, she left me crying my heart out. Zane wouldn't do that. I know. We know that we definitely love each other. The heck we are already planning to get married. I know we're young, I'm 19 and he's 20, but settling down picks no age. And yet, I still can't contact him.

I waited for more hours but still, no sign of him.

That is when I decided I'll leave him, if that is what he wants. If this is truly what he wants.

I started packing my clothes and make sure I won't leave any traces of me staying in his place. I left something behind. Our picture together when we had our first kiss and the necklace he gave me. It is a couple necklace actually. Since, we're not a couple anymore, it is just logical for me to leave this piece behind.

I decided I'll stay with my aunt. Traveling to her place will take me two hours of travel. She took me in and my unborn baby. I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks after my encounter with Zane's mother. My parents died after my graduation in college, that's one of the reasons why Zane took me in.

I decided I'll work hard to be one of the best in London through the help of my aunt and her husband. They taught me about business and I started running a small one. After a year, I brought my business to the business area of London and worked harder to be at the top. My daughter is my inspiration. I'll do everything to protect her especially from the hands of his family.
