It began. I was the last person to go, but watching innocent people being forced to kill each other, is enough to drive a person mad. The eldest celestial gave the first two contestant swords, they shook in their hands, in the middle of the white square tile of death.

The two girls stared at each other, barley even knowing how to hold their sword correctly. They were simply unable to fight. Why is this happening? Why should two innocent fight to the death?! It all seemed like a terrible nightmare. What in the world did those Celestial gain from this? Balancing population?! Are yo u kidding me! "Now, please, begin!" The, quite cheerful, celestial woman announced.

The two girls, tried to figure out how to wield their swords, slowly approaching each other. It was insane they didn't even know how to hold it the correct way! "I-I don't want to do this!" Rida yelled.

"Then, would you rather choose a quick death or enjoy a battle? Either way one of you, or both of you, have to die," The Celestial said. What kind of deal was that! Both choices were worse than the other. Rida stared at her with horror, then looked back at Trisha in sorrow.

"I-I'm so sorry!" Rida said, running towards her, barley keeping her sword up. With all her might she lifted the sword and slashed Trisha on her right arm. Trisha, stunned, stared at her own blood seep out of her.

"I don't want to die!" Trisha yelled, wildly swinging her sword around.

"Well, well doesn't she have some spunk?!" The Celestial woman cheered. Spunk? How is this spunk? She is fighting to survive and you think they are enjoying this! My finger nails dug in to my flesh. I gasped and clenched my teeth. Trisha's wild swinging striked Rida in the neck. A vital spot. Rida fell limp to the floor as Trisha cried and threw her sword away, running out of the ring. "Simply amazing! What an unexpected outcome! The winner is Trisha!" The Celestial woman cheered.

I looked back as Trisha ran to her relieved parents, crying on their shoulders, looking at the Rida's suffering parents "Now, now, let's move on! Ruth and Senna!" She called. Ruth bravely stepped in to the ring, but Senna was stubornly clinging on to her parents. Two guards came and dragged her to the ring. "Begin!" The dreadful word rang out.

They both received two swords. Both the boy and girl were skilled in the tinest bit. "I'm sorry but, I'm not dying today!" Ruth told her. Senna clutched her sword, as her bottom lip quivered in fear, the poor girl couldn't even speak up. They both clashed their trembling swords, carefully, avoiding being cut or harmed. I gnawed at my lip as Ruth struck a blow to Senna's arm, that's going to leave a big scar. Senna quickly striked back and struck him across the chest. He staggered back for a few seconds, but then got a hold of him self.

"This duel seems a bit interesting than the one before! Interesing! Interesting!" The woman's shrill voice rang through the quiet air. I loathed the sound of her cheery voice, it sent chills down my back. How can those celestials sit and watch as people, humans, teared each other apart?

Ruth turned his sword to the right and brought it across Senna's neck, blood oozed out like a leaking water pipe. "And the winner is....Ruth!" The woman clapped. I had to cover my mouth from the nausiouc feeling I got from staring at the bloody ring. People all around me started to litter the floor iwth vomit. "Next! Nikkita and Flora!" The Celestial announced. As Ruth left from the ring, Senna's parents yelled and pulled their hair, cursing him out.

"You can't be a gentlemen! How could you!" Her mother screamed. Ruth looked back with sympathy and pity.

The two girls stepped up on the ring, Flora was weighed down by the weight of her sword. It was no surprise, since she was as skinny as a twig. She gave out a cry as she tried to lift her sword up. Nikkita stood, frozen in her place. "But...we're best friends." She whispered.
