He aimed for a side slash. I blocked it, but he managed to get a small cut on my right thigh. He smirked and slashed my left shoulder. I staggered back, trying to bear the pain and the weight of my body. I smiled back.
"Not too bad." I complimented, running towards him. He held me off, but I was too quick with my sword. I pushed through his defense, and broke through his sword's grasp, leaving a nasty scar across his chest. It would've been a deeper wound if I had a better sword. He staggered back and faced me with a crazy face, it showed excitment and blood lust. He must be insane!
"It's amazing!" He yelled in excitement, charging at me. I blocked every strike, ducking and jumping, barley missing the edge of his sword. I found an opening and slashed again, creating an X mark master piece on his chest. He laughed uncontrollably, like a wild beast. "I finally found someone who can take me on!" He cheered.
"I don't want a fight to the death, let's stop," I told him.
"The fun's just about to start!" He told me, charging once more.
"It's useless," I told him, leaving a big slash on his right arm. He winced, but didn't stop throwing his slashed at me.
"Enough!" I yelled, unhanding him and cutting him across his left shoulder. His sword came down right next to him, as he dropped down to his knees. "I understand you do deserve the title Hawk, but that's enough," I told him. He chuckled, and grabbed his sword one more. Anger welled up inside as I cut his wrist, making him fall on the ground to his side. As soon as his face hit the floor, the sword I held snapped in two.
"Finish me off," He whispered, as I threw my broken sword away.
"Shut up," I told him. "I'm about to second guess what I just said about your Hawk title. What's the point if I finish you off now? What will I achieve? Fame, and attention, I don't need more. Plus I-I," I cut off, blushing a little.
"I-I s-sort of like you as a friend, so live, I want to battle with you again," I told him. He chuckled softly, closing his eyes.
"Hey! Red Hawk you there still!" I asked with a worried tone. He furrowed his brows.
"DUH! OF COURSE I AM! GET GOING NOW! Before they get you, I also want you to take my sword and continue fighting. Kali...Hawk" He yelled. I was surprised at the new nickname. I smiled back and looked as Lancer and Vinny got more opponents. The officer was giving orders to other soldiers. Vinny and lancer were doing their best to hold them off. Especially Lancer. I swear this boy is impossible to figure out.
"HEY! Guys let's get going fast!" I yelled, picking up Red's sword.
"Oh now she wants to leave," Lancer mumbled, loud enough for me to hear. I rolled my eyes.
"Well you can stay if you want! I don't care," I yelled back.
"Good luck kid, you're going to go far," Red Hawk cheered. I smiled.
"Thanks! I'll remember those words," I told him, as Lancer and Vinny came running towards me. I took a step and fell on the floor. Oh yea, I can't run my leg's injured.
"Stop slacking off!" Lancer said, picking me and carrying me over his shoulder.
"I can walk on my own!" I yelled, disgusted by him.
"Shut up! You're too injured, you'll only slow us down," He argued. I frowned.
"There, let's lose them in the forest where there is many trees," Vinny pointed, trying to keep her glasses on her face. We charged in as fast as we could, well they were doing all the running. Lancer was doing some crazy turns, hiding behind trees, but it looked like it was working. We lost them for now. Lancer nearly threw me on the floor as he gasped for air.
