Chapter 16

Lancer, Vinny, and my face stared back at me. I wiped my eyes, but the moon shone down on their faces. "Who are you imposters?!" I asked.

"You!" Vinny giggled. 

"What? Wait what?!" I asked in confusion.

"Time to finish this." Lancer's imposter said, slashing his sword at me. It was exactly like Lancer's fighting style! I missed a critical hit from him and only got a cut on the side. I missed again and he managed a cut on my back. I never knew Lancer was so strong and fast though! I think if we fought we'd be on par. Vinny threw the metal stick as it extended. It hit my lip, as the corner of my lip split. I spit out blood.

My fake self was grinning at me the whole time. Was I really that of a maniac? She charged at me, striking rapidly. Dang I was good. I fell off balance as the sword slashed my arm, leaving a cut. I fell to the floor and the fake Lancer ran over. It's over for me. He brought his sword down to my neck. 

I waited for the pain but it didn't come. I heard a kick. I opened my eyes and it was Lancer. The real Lancer. "I thought you drank too much," I said, getting up. 

"I don't have a weakness of such," He told me, kicking off the fake me. The real Vinny tackled the fake Vinny. I got up and cracked my fists. I grabbed the fake Lancer and punched his face, some teeth even fell out. I bottled everything up from the attitude Lancer gave me. The fake Lancer went flying and so did the fake me. Lancer and I glared at each other. I looked at Vinny's battle. One of the Vinny was on top, pulling the other Vinny's hair out.

"Uh Vinny? Which one are you?" I asked.

"Me!" 

"Me!"

"No it's me! Trust me!" A Vinnny said.

"NO! Ignore her it's really me!" Another Vinny said. 

"Fine then, I'll ask a question," I said, thinking hard. Memories can't be replaced right?

"When did I first meet Vinny?" I asked.

"Easy! When you were gathering up so we can go on the journey together!" A Vinny replied. I smiled. I walked up to that Vinny and gave her a punch, breaking her nose, and sending her flying. 

"When we were in the woods and I spilled the juice on your head," Vinny told me, with a smirk. I laughed. 

"CURSE YOU!" The beast like monsters said, crawling out of our fake bodies. The bodies and the monsters crumbled and disappeared. We went to retrieve our weapons. The mayor and his wife ran out.

"You did it!" They cheered. Lancer, Vinny and I walked up to them gave them a beating they'll never forget.

"Speak. Where is Frostland?" We questioned Rashel and Johnson, as they were tied up.

"Go straight ahead from the hut and make a left. Then you'll know," Rashel answered immediately.

"Please untie us!" Johnson pleaded.

"If you guys are wrong, we'll come back. And. Kill. You." I whispered in their ears. They both squealed as we left them tied up.

We walked over the annoying sand again, it seemed like for ever, until we made the left. Lancer leaded, following the route from the map. Then there was a pine tree forest right in front of us. But It was covered in snow. The wind hit us, making me freeze in place. We stopped.

"I-I-It's f-f-freeezing," Vinny said, through clattering teeth. After all, she was wearing nothing but an attached shirt and underwear. 

"Here take this," Lancer said, giving her his shirt.
