"Hey stupid get up," A voice whispered. I opened my eyes and saw a pair of serious and cold looking eyes stare back at me. Of course I panicked. I pushed Lancer with my foot and sent him on his back.
"What's wrong with you! You don't wake up a person like this! You have nearly caused me a heart attack once more!" I scolded. He growled and grabbed a lock of my hair, tugging at it.
"Ow stop!" I yelled.
"Apologize." he asked firmly. I glared.
"Never." I growled. He tugged tighter making me squirm again.
"I'll ask you again," he said, grinning.
"No way!" I yelled back.
"You little stubborn woman," he hissed, pressing his lips on to mine. My breath whooshed out and my heart sped up.
"Hey..." Lilly called out, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. I pushed Lancer away and glared.
"Don't try that again," I mumbled.
"You'll be a tough one," he grinned. I stuck my tongue at him.
"And...and why didn't you change back?!" I asked changing the subject. He grinned again.
"You can't admit that you don't like my new look," he teased, running a hand through his long hair that touched below his shoulders. Well, I really couldn't admit it. But that hair had to go.
I blushed and returned my gaze at the children. My heart dropped, they looked terrible. Lilly's eyes were swollen as if she'd been crying for hours and James held a sleeping Gina, and looked like he needed sleep himself.
"Are you two fine?" I asked an obvious question. I bent down on the ice and put my hands on their shoulder. "I won't say it will be fine but hey, you don't know what will happen in the future," I told them. I thought about Vinny and what Lancer had told me. I closed my eyes. This time I will kill Thresh. I won't stand like a worthless statue. I took the both of them in to my arms. Lilly held on to my shirt, tightly, and her body slightly shook against mine. "I'm sorry. But for sure this time, we will come back." I promised.
I eyed them one last time and hurried to Lancer's side. "You two will come back right?!" James shouted. I stopped in my tracks, with out looking back I gave a thumbs up and we ran back to Thresh's castle.
"We'll get him this time for sure!" I said determined as out feet pounded the thick pavement.
"We need to build a strategy. His weakness is our target. Just need to figure that out," Lancer mumbled to himself.
"Yea." I said, as my finger's laced his. I guess I just felt scared a bit. I'll admit it, I felt alone and terrified, isn't that normal? I'm glad he didn't refuse my hand. He gave it a tight squeeze and we rushed in to the castle's open doors.

I drew my sword and faced those dead skeletons head on. I slashed mercilessly and kept going forward. They were scattered all over these damn dead bones! Then there he was, Thresh, staring at us with his black eyes. Lancer and I let out a battle cry, shaking the walls with our spirit. I jumped up and felt the energy surge in to me. Fire light up my blade, fire it's self was sprouting out of me like thin light rays. I bought my sword down, syncing with lancer, and it made a huge gash that was as long as I was. The skin around Thresh cracked, making it look like it was lava pouring out of a volcanoe. I looked over at Lancer and was astonished. I've covered his whole shoulder, spreading slowly.
Thresh grumbled. "Not to bad! Seems like you've gotten serious! That's more like it!" He yelled, shaking side to side, and there my wound that I was proud of vanished and the ice broke down. Thresh laughed and blew flames at us. I dodge in time, but my shoe was caught in it. The rubber was being chewed at, the black fire almost seemed like a black demon beast made from the flames. I kicked off my shoe, before the fire spread on my foot. That seriously was dangerous.
