I felt so stiff. I couldn't move. I opened my eyes and stared at a dark wooden floor. I tried getting up, but all I manged was a helpless wiggle. I couldn't even speak because of the gag on my mouth. I looked besides me and saw Vinny and Lancer staring back. They were in the same position as I was. This was the cottage we were in,so what exactly happened? I looked at the bench, Fin's, glaring eyes looked back at us and gave a wicked smile.

"Stupid Dragonkiins!" He spoke up. I tried to mumble something to him. He grabbed me from my hair and pulled down the cloth from my mouth, then Vinny's and Lancer's.

"Who are you and what do you want," We all asked.

"Why I am Fin, the poor boy, Raina's older brother." He replied with a deeper and much wicked voice.

"You can't fool us!" Lancer yelled at him.

"Well maybe I could. I mean look at you all tied up!" He mocked.

"You little..." Lancer mumbled.

"Now you Dragonkiins will die by my hands!" He told us.

"Wait! If you are doing this for the money you don't have to! You can take our money instead, we have a lot to support us!" Vinny told him. He stared at her then chuckled.

"Oh no, you've got it all wrong. I'm doing this because I simply can't allow you to go any further on your little quest."

"You know about it?!" I asked with surprise. He chuckled. "Lord Thresh did take notice of you, so of course we know!"

"Dammit! Where is the stupid Thresh guy anyway!" I growled, trying to find an escape from the rope tied around my body.

"Who exactly are you," Vinny asked.

"Lord Thresh's loyal subordinate. I'm borrowing this kid's body for a bit, but I'll soon be done with you and his family as well!" He laughed. I heard mumbling noises from behind me. I rolled over and saw Raina and Lenny tied up. He walked and pulled Raina's gag.

"Any last words? Sister!" He shrieked.

"Fin! Please stop this! What you're doing is wrong!" She cried.

"You're sick! And wicked!" I yelled at him. He laughed madly.

"Maybe I am. But now you die, like it should always have been with your disgusting race!" He said, unleashing an assassin's knife. He brought it down on me, but the next thing I saw was Lancer taking the blow. He managed to loosen the rope around him and jumped to shield me from the knife. He winced, as the knife sunk in to his left shoulder.

"You idiot!" I mumbled in surprise. He took advantage of the knife and quickly managed to cut his ropes.

"I'll beat the crap out of you," Lancer said, punching the dazzled Fin in the face, sending him stumbling into the bench,. Lancer walked up to him and grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and pounded some sense in to him.

"Please stop!" Raina sobbed. "He has my brother's body! Please don't kill him!" She pleaded. Lancer looked back, dropping his attention off Fin was a mistake. Fin grabbed his knife and slashed Lancer across the side of his waist. Lancer backed away, clutching his side with one hand.

"We can't just kill him. Figure out a way," Vinny agreed, thinking hard. My mind was completely blank. Fin pushed Lancer in to the table, causing the food and plates to slip down. A piece of meat dropped on my eyes. I let out a frustrated growl then gasped, realizing the answer to Vinny's question.

"Lancer! Throw the meat at him!" I hinted. He stared back at me like I was insane.

"Remember, he gets a rash from salt!" I reminded. Lancer's eyes lit up and obeyed, tossing the plates of meat at him. Fin cautiously and quickly doged them, until I bit, as big of a bit I could get, from the meat that fell on my face, and spit a piece aiming it at his face. He froze and let out a scream as the the part of hit swelled up and turned red, peeling and oozing red liquid. Lancer grabbed the meat from my mouth and took this chance to hit him. He ran over and punched him in the chest with the piece of meat. Fin opened his mouth wide and gasped for air, dropping to his knees. He held his neck, choking until a loud and irritating screech came out. Fin fell unconscious and a pink monster came out of his mouth. It was slimy and gooey and it stench made me gag. The pink monster fell to his knees and slowly melted away into nothing. Lancer untied Vinny, Raina, Lenny, and me.

"Glad to see that bird brain of yours actually worked." Vinny sighed. I was going to reply back with a rude comment, until Fin's coughing fits inturrupted. He was gasping, and throwing up everything he had. I mean, I don't blame him. If I had something like that come out of my throat I probably would've threw up too. Raina patted Fin's back as he started to calmed down.

"Wh-what went on?" His hoarse voice asked.

"Rest for a while dear," Lenny sighed, setting him down on the bed. He was tucked in and quickly fell asleep.

"We were sorry to ever doubt you." Lenny turned at us, turning red in embarrassment.

"What do you mean you did nothing," Vinny said.

"Actually I put the sleeping powder in your food, Fin told me to do so, I got scared, I mean I trusted my grandson more..." She confessed.

"It's fine," I sighed. "I wouldn't trust strangers anyway either," I told her.

"Yea sure, just give her food and she'll be under your command," Vinny joke.

"Ha, ha, very funny!" I said with sarcasm.

"I think we've all had a long day, I'll clean up and place the mats on the floor. I guess we'll all have to be sleeping on the floor today since poor Fin took the bed, I'm very sorry." Raina apologized.

"It's fine, really." I replied.

"Come and help!" Vinny yelled at me, joining the others to clean the shattered plates

"Nope." I replied.

"How come?! You ween't raised in royality!" She hissed.

"Cause I don't know how to clean," I replied, laying on the bench as they did the work.

"Are you serious!" She groaned. I nodded.

"It's fine, we are almost done, go should go relax too Vinny." Raina smiled.

"Yea you girls finish the rest up," Lancer said, walking around and plopping him self on a chair.

"What did you do?! You just stood there the whole time!" Vinny complained.

"Well that's what girls are for," He replied, closing his eyes for a small nap. I rolled my eyes. They set up some fluffy cloths on the floor, and everyone quickly claimed their spot. Lancer took the mat on the end and vinny took the mat right next to Lenny and Riana. Which only left me a spot to be between. Lancer and Vinny. Great, I still have to stick with them even when I'm sleeping. Raina turned out the lights and I fell asleep as soon as everyone settled in.

I woke up in the middle of the night, barley getting any sleep. I pushed Lancer's foot off my leg and growled curses on his life. When I was in the village they used to wake me up in the middle of the night, trying to annoy the crap out of me! And don't blame me if they went back home with some bruises or a broken arm, I get extermly cranky when I awaken. An owl's hooting repetitivaly cried in the night, a wolf howled twice, and even worse, was Lancer's loud snoring next to my ear. I've lost it. "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" I got up and yelled, dragging the mat along with me. Raina quickly lit a fire on the candle next to her, stumbling over something in the pitch dark.

"What's wrong?!" She asked, wide awake. Vinny and Lenny woke up as well, while Lancer was still snoring like a pig! I don't mind Fin's still sleeping, since he had a rough day, but this kid was annoying the crap out of me. I let out a frustrated growl. "I can't take his stupid snores!" I yelled, throwing my pillow at Lancer's face. He didn't even feel it. I groaned and slammed the door behind me, leaving the whole cottage. I laid down on the grassy landscape and closed my eyes, blocking my ears with both hands. It's better to sleep on owl noises, rather than Lancer snoring in your ear. He even disturbing me in my sleep. There's a limit to how annoying can someone can be, but he passed  the chart!

Sooner or later, my eyelids fell and, slowly, I fell asleep to the hootings of the night.
