Lancer and I dragged ourselves out of the cave. I used one arm to support my self and every breath i took hurt my ribs. I coughed and gasped, stopping in place. "Are you ok," Lancer asked, looking at me with his silver eyes. I wasn't used to that yet.

"Not really, it feels like my breath is being crush every time I inhale," I mumbled. He picked me up in his arms.

"Will it help if I carry you?" He asked. I looked away blushing, trying to keep a serious face on.

"Whatever," I muttered. We walked in silence.

"Hey?" Lancer asked.

"Hm?" I replied.

"Uh...I....um, never mind," He said, looking away.

"Stupid." I mumbled under my breath. Lancer's grip tightened on my arms.

"Now woman. Don't let me leave you here alone." He bitterly said, gritting his teeth. I didn't exactly want that to happen. I gave back an attitude and looked away, I had no choice. Light approached the cave, and we finally stepped out in to fresh air. Despite it being cold, it was refreshing to have the worry and sweat blown away with the wind. And I was happy to see the sky again. When I saw the kids eagerly waiting for us, I nearly wanted to jump and fly over to them.

"You...came....back!" Lilly cried. Lancer set me on the snow and we were tackled by the kids.

"You guys, I'll seriously die from the slobbering and hugs," I said, breathless.

"Get off. That hurts!" Lancer mumbled.

"Good job," James said, staring admirably at Lancer who mumble something back.

"We got so bored and we made you guys something!" Lilly said, excitingly clapping her hands together.

"What is that hideously-"

"Hideously beautiful snowman!" I cut off Lancer an nudged him in the ribs.

"I didn't mean beautiful! I meant vil-"

"You meant wonderful!" I cut him off again. He glared at me with a glare so deadly I inched away. "Anyway! That was a beautiful snowman! I can't believe you did this for us. Right Lancer! Right." I said, commenting on their sloppy and decayed structure of a snowman. I limped over and got on my knees. "Say guys? Why don't we go home now?" I smirked. Their eyes twinkled and the biggest grin was placed on their faces, but slowly vanished.

Lilly looked down. "We don't have a home anymore...," She said. I shuffled down on my knees and smoothness her messy and dirty blond hair.

"That doesn't mean you won't get one. You have us now. Lancer and I." I said.

"Ah man, just throw them in an orphanage." Lancer said, looking away. I knew he didn't mean it, he grew to have the same bond as I did with the kids. He just chose to hide it away.

"No Lancer, they will go home with us. They'll have to stay with one of us," I told him. He glanced at me and scrunched up his lips. We were about to have a a small battle.

"Let's deal with that later. First of all, how should we get out of this slump. I mean we're in the middle of no civilization," Lancer announced.

"Yes, I agree. And we really are a handful, the three of us, you mustn't worry about us now." Lilly chirped in. I smiled and tackled her in a playful hug, making her laugh out.

"Let's head out now," Lancer said.

"How the hell did we manage to get in this situation!" I yelled, clinging on to my life with only the edge of the boat for support, and ignoring every muscle that ached.
