Someone was forcefully moving my shoulder. I opened my eyes. Lancer, and Vinny stared down at me. "What?" I said. I was about to get up, but I noticed Adeen's arms wrapped around me still.
"Who's that kid? And what in the world are you doing out here in the middle of the night?" Lancer asked me furiously. I felt way better than last time so now I could speak up.
"I don't know, I just saw him outside and he needed my help. I had to help him so I just ended up sleeping here," I told them.
"You can't trust anyone! Especially when they look like they're 7 and have white hair," Vinny whispered.
"He's just a kid! Who knows, there might be people with white hair," I replied. Adeen shuffled and rubbed his eyes. He got up and gasped, cuddling back close to me. He slowly peeked out. "Adeen, it's fine you don't have to worry," I told him. He nodded, be he didn't let go of my arm. I sat up, and took him on my lap.
"Come on, we need to go on," Lancer said, tugging at my arm.
"I can't just leave him here," I told him.
"I don't care! We obviously can't take him with us," Lancer reminded. I shrugged and gave him a look.
"If you don't care that's fine, I honestly didn't ask for your opinion! But I care and I won't leave him here," I told him.
"Miss Kali, why are they going to take you away from me," Adeen mumbled to me. "Don't leave me alone," He said, looking up at me with tears in his eyes. Lancer let go of my hand and glared at Vinny to do something.
"Maybe we can take him to an orphanage or something," Vinny suggested. I know how those orphanage people were. They weren't friendly, Adeen wouldn't survive a minute. Adeen tightened his grip and shook his head.
"I don't want them to take you away from me," He sobbed.
"Kid, we aren't going to take you with us, so let go of her," Lancer scolded. Adeen trembled.
"SHUT UP LANCER!" I yelled.
"Well you know, it's the truth," He mumbled.
"Go to hell," I mumbled back. "Adeen, don't you worry, I won't leave you," I told him, patting his fuzzy hair, and hugging him back.
"Come on then, we don't have time for this we need to see what we'll do with that kid," Lancer mumbled.
"No! I won't leave Kali!" Adeen cried.
"Stop crying, you stupid kid," Lancer told him.
"Lancer I'm telling to shut you rude mouth up before serious problems happen," I replied with a serious tone. Lancer rolled his eyes.
"Adeen. I don't know if I can stay with you forever, so," I couldn't continue. I didn't know what to tell him. Any way I'd say it, it would come out wrong. I don't want to tell him to be all alone again.
"You want me to leave," Adeen replied, with a sad voice.
"No! It's just that the place we're going, I can't take you with me. it'll be too dangerous and I don't want you to get hurt," I told him.
"But I-I like you," Adeen confessed.
"I-I," I relied Speechless. "I like you to!" I said, grabbing him in a hug.
"So don't leave," He told me, as his voice changed.
"Huh?" I looked down. The look in his eyes wasn't his usual one. It seemed full of hatred.
"Get away from him!" Lancer yelled, grabbing me out of the way. Adeen grabbed his flute and struck a note. I covered my ear in pain, but it still got through.
