"Wow Sasaki-san! You're so good at cooking!" Chiaki exclaimed as he watched Haise stir the soup that had the kitchen smelling delicious. Haise chuckled at the young boy's statement as he turned around and blew on the spoon lightly before letting Chiaki and Izuki try the soup.

"How is it? Will your mommy like it?" Chiaki nodded quickly while Izuki nodded once. "Mommy's going to love it!"

Haise smiled and turned off the stove, grabbing a bowl and pouring the soup into it. "Great, let's go bring this to her then." Chiaki ran in front of Haise as Izuki walked behind Haise. Opening the door, Chiaki ran to your sad and patted your legs with his small hands.

"Mommy! Mommy! Look! We cooked you soup!" You opened your eyes and adjusted to the view in front of you, Haise, Izuki and Chiaki smiling at you as Haise placed the bowl in your lap, the delicious smell of the soup making you feel better already.

"Thank you very much." Taking the spoon that was in the soup, you brought it to your lips and drank it. "This is really good Haise!" He smiled at you and looked over at the boys.

"Come on boys, let's let your mom rest." He ushered them into the living room to play with them and help them while you had a good rest.

-

"Haise? Are you still here?" Walking into the living room with a blanket around you, you saw Haise sitting on the floor reading a book while Izuki and Chiaki slept on the floor next to him, blankets covering their small bodies.

"Good evening (F/N), I didn't want to leave until I knew everything was okay." He set his book aside and carried Chiaki to his room, then Izuki. "Thank you so much for coming over Haise, i'm truly thankful."

"I'm glad I could help. Well, I must be going now, it's getting late. See you tomorrow?" You walked Haise over to the door and nodded. "Hopefully."

He smiled at you and waved goodbye as he walked down the street. Shutting the door, you locked it before walking back to the bedroom to get some extra sleep.

Fortunately the next morning  you felt better and was able to go back to work. As usual Hinami came and took care of Izuki and Chiaki for you as you got ready for work.

"Bye kids! Bye Hinami-chan!" You shouted as you ran out the door. "Bye mom!""Bye (L/N)-san!" They shouted back as they watched you rush toward the train station as usual. Luckily you got onto the train just in time before it left.

Getting off the train, you sighed in relief as you made it to work a little early than late. Walking up the small hill, you noticed Haise by the doors and called out to him before starting to jog towards him. Unfortunately you didn't notice the man that turned the corner, making you crash into him.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." You apologize as you took their hand to help yourself up off the ground. "Thank you..." Your eyes widened as you stared at the person in front of you.

"K-Kaneki.." Releasing your hand from his, you quickly brushed passed him and continued walking toward Haise.

"(F/N), it's good to see you again." You froze from hearing your name escape his lips. Turning your head, he looked at you and his lips curved into a small smile. Your heart ached but you ignored Kaneki and continued to walk toward the CCG.

"Good Morning (F/N)-chan~" Haise said happily as he walked toward you. You gave him a small smile as you continued to walk with him. Haise knew something was up, you didn't seem comfortable and you looked less happy than you normally were. "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay." You lied, but Haise didn't buy it from you. "Do you know him?" He asked as the two of you entered the building. You froze and looked at him.

"He's...He's my ex-husband.." Haise's eyes widened as he held onto your shoulders. He looked back out the windows but couldn't see the man anymore. "He's the father of Chiaki and Izuki?"

"Haise, let's not talk about this now okay?" You gave him a sad smile and he couldn't but agree. "Okay, I'll walk you home later."

Throughout the day, you spaced out more than usually because of your incident with Kaneki. He looked the same, just a little more mature. You were filled with hate, anger, and sadness after seeing Kaneki again.

Work ended for you and as you slowly walked toward the main doors, you saw Haise waiting for you. Looking up, he noticed you and gave you a small wave. "You ready?" You gave him a genuine smile and nodded.

The walk back to your apartment you led onto Haise's arm tightly. You were scared that Kaneki was going to approach you. Haise couldn't help but feel bad for you, he could tell you were scared for your life.

"Hey, it's going to be okay (F/N)." Haise smiled as you. "I'll make sure you're safe." You couldn't help but smile as Haise's words. Burying your face into his arm, the two of you continued to walk home in the quiet sunset evening.

-

(F/N), she was just as beautiful as the last time I had seen her. But the way she looked at me and ignored me, made my heart ache and all I felt was guilt and sorrow. I want to see her again, I want to be with her again.

"You saw (F/N) today?" They asked as their shoes clicked into the room. I looked up at them and glanced at my hands. "Yeah."

"Was it nice?" I let out a slight scoff. "She was beautiful, but she walked away from me." They circled around me before stopping behind me.

"As expected isn't it? You left her, of course she'd do the same." I turned my head the other direction, my white hair draping the top of my face. "Also, she has already found somebody new. Do you not remember, she was with that man."

My eyebrows furrowed at the statement. "She's already moved on from you, it's a natural response Kaneki." Turning around, I grabbed their shoulder as they let out a small chuckle. "What are you saying?" I said angrily.

They gave me a twisted smile. "I'm saying, she no longer loves you."
