I like skipped the entire day of Christmas in this chapter because it wasn't as 'important' to the plot. I got good stuff coming up in the next few chapters.

"Why? You left me."

Shocked from his words, you took a step back from him with wide eyes. "H-Haise? What are you talking about?" He turned around and looked at you with  sad frustrated eyes, "You were with Kaneki, I saw you with him."

"Haise, It was just a coincidence meeting him there. All he wanted to do was wish me a Merry Christmas." You huffed and looked up at him, your warm breath turning into white puffs of air. "Why are you getting so worked up over this?"

"This is a date (F/N), for us two. Looks like your date with Kaneki was going much better." Furrowing your brows, you crossed your arms at him. His anger was getting to you and it was making you upset. "You're being so dramatic right now Haise. You're just jealous, it's okay just get over it. I'm right here aren't I? Am I with Kaneki? No." You brushed passed him and continued walking until he spoke again, making you stop.

"You still love him don't you?"

Turning around, you give him an irritated but shocked look. Haise looked at you before looking down, his black and white hair covering his face as you let out a sigh before walking over to him. "You're still upset over that?"

"You do, don't you?" Haise looked up at you through his lashes as you didn't respond to his question though he already knew the answer. "I'm going back.." Turning around, the snow crunched beneath his feet as he walked away from you. It was a horrible date; the two of you got into an argument the day before Christmas.

Following Haise, you quietly walked beside him. "I don't love him as much as I love you though." You say loud enough just for him to hear. You watched his expression but nothing seemed to change, he still kept that straight face and your heart clenched. He would usually be all happy with those words but currently this wasn't the case.

The walk back to his apartment was awkward and silent, the two of you hated to leave things off like that. Opening the door, you could heart the cheerful sounds of the Quinx with Izuki and Chiaki; at least they were happy.

"Hi mommy! Izuki and I are playing with Shirazu and Mutsuki and Saiko!" Chiaki exclaimed as the five of them waved towards you and Haise. Smiling, you nodded at him before walking over and sitting next to them, Haise going his own way.

"Um, is everything okay?" Shirazu asked as you gave him a small smile. "We're fine." Hesitantly he nodded and proceeded to joke around with the young ones as Haise walked into his room, sighing into his hands.

"Merry Christmas! Let's open the presents!" Chiaki exclaimed early in the morning as he and Izuki jumped out of their beds and over towards the tree looking for their gifts. Yawning, you walked over to the sofa with a blanket and watched as the opened their gifts. You were extra tired from the night before because of the argument you had with Haise.

"Good morning." Looking over to your right, you saw Haise and you gave him a small smile before replying back, "Good morning." It was still awkward to talk with one another but the two of you didn't want to ruin anything for the others because of it.

"What did you get Izuki?" You asked as you leaned forward, resting your elbows on your legs as you watched him. "I got some books, toys and some clothes." Getting off the couch and over toward him, you looked at the outfits Haise had bought him and were they adorable.

"How cute~" You stated holding up a small outfit that matched Izuki very well. "You even got a warm jacket for the winter!" You pinched his cheek lightly before kissing his cheek and crawled over to Chiaki talking with him about his gifts. Haise watched from the kitchen as you interacted with your boys. He loved how great of a mother you are and if it wasn't awkward he would go up and hug you, but the tension was still thick.

Throughout the day, the Quinx seemed to notice that something was going on between Haise and you and it was bothering them also. They loved the two of you dearly and seeing that the two of you were having problems made them upset.

"(L/N)-san? Can I talk to you?" Saiko asked as you smile and nodded patting the seat next to you. Saiko looked right into your eyes and you stared back confused. "Why are you and Sassan mad at eachother?" You jumped at the sudden question and gave her a smile, "Haise and I are not mad at eachother. We're just giving each other space."

Saiko shook her hair and continued to look at you, her bright blue hair flowing messily. "Shirazu and Mutsuki know it too! We don't like it!" She exclaimed to you as your mouth opened slightly. "It's j-just, we're not trying to affect you guys but I guess it is."

"I don't like it! I want you and Sassan to talk again!" She whined as you smiled and lightly dragged your hand along her long pigtail. "We'll talk again eventually Saiko, it'll be okay." With sad eyes, she smiled and walked away to Mutsuki as you watched Urie interact with the young boys.

The day was coming to an end and you were packing the boys gifts into their suitcases, you were heading back to the station in a few hours and you wanted to get ready so nothing was left behind. Haise was taking you the station too, which you were glad of because even if the two of you had an argument, you wanted to see him before you left.

Once the time had come, you dressed the boys in their new jackets gifted by Haise and you took the suitcases waiting for Haise at the front door. He walked down the hallway in his warm coat and scarf, talking a suitcase from you as the four of you made your way to the station.

Waiting for the train quietly, you glanced up at Haise and the two of you made eye contact. "Um, thank you for the gifts you got the boys. They've been really enjoying them!" Haise's lips curved into a small smile which made you extremely happy. "I-I have something for you Haise." Pulling a box from your pocket you handed it to him, as his eyes slightly widened at you giving him a gift.

Taking the box from your hand, he opened it and saw a beautiful silver watch. Looking at you, you smiled sheepishly and played with your fingers. "I saved up extra money so I could get that for you, it matches you and when I saw it I thought of you. I was thinking about getting us some promise rings but I wasn't sure if you would want to wear a ring so I got that instead. I hope you like it." Haise pulled you into a hug and smiled, "Thank you (F/N)."

The train taking you back to the 13th ward pulled into the station and you pulled away from Haise, "Take care Haise." Slowly, you turned around and gathered your luggage as you ushered Izuki and Chiaki into the train. Haise watched as you settled down by the window, making eye contact with him once before looking away. They way you looked at him looked sad, like you were hurting. He hated that you left with an argument ruining your trip, he hated that he was being dramatic. He hated that he made you sad.

The train quickly left and Haise looked down at the beautiful watch he was gifted from his so amazing and wonderful girlfriend. He felt bad for not giving you a gift but if he wanted to give you a gift, it was going to be an extremely thought out gift. Cautiously, he fixed the watch onto his wrist and walked back to the apartment with a small smile.
