Updates are going to be a bit slower now because I had a tech class that would allow me to write whenever we had free time, and now that i'm finished with that class I can't write as much as I used to anymore. I'll still try to update once a week but it might take a lot longer than usual. Sorry again!

It had been three days since you've left the 20th ward and Haise, you haven't messaged him and he hasn't messaged you either. And slightly, it had been affecting you. Haise was all that was on your mind and the fact that a stupid little argument caused all of this to happen, made you upset.
"Mom, why are you so sad?" Chiaki asked as he rested his elbows on your legs, hands on his cheeks. "Is it because of Sasaki-san?" Izuki asked you. You let out a sigh and ran your hands through Chiaki's soft black hair. "What happened with Sasaki-san mommy?" Chiaki questioned curiously as you shook your head at him.
"It's mommy problems. Don't worry about okay peanut?" Chiaki looked up at you and nodded hesitantly as you stood up and walked him to bed, Izuki following behind. "Let's go to sleep okay? I have to go to work tomorrow, be good to Oba-chan again." "We will." They replied as you kissed them on their foreheads before turning off the light and quietly shutting the door.
Walking over to the bedroom, a soft voice calling out your name stopped you. "(F/N)-chan?" Walking over to the dimly lit bedroom, you gently opened the door that was creaked open. "Oba-chan? You called me?" Nodding, she motioned you over towards her and patted the empty seat on the bed next to her.
Your footsteps were light as you entered the room. You helped yourself onto the open spot next to her and leaned closer for what she had to say. "Things are not going to well with your sweet Haise-kun?" You gave her a small smile at the nickname she gave him, but you lightly shook your head. "No, we got into an argument over Christmas while we were on a date."
"What has caused this argument?" Looking down, you played with your hands before answering. "I ran into my ex-husband, Kaneki, and we were having a nice conversation. Haise didn't seem to enjoy it though." Oba-chan picked up one of your hands and smiled at you. "A little case of jealousy I see?" You let out a small chuckle. Oba-chan really knew how to lift up the mood.
"You could say so, but Haise's a little sensitive about it. He always tells me how he doesn't want Kaneki to take me away because he loves me so much. It makes him upset when I'm with Kaneki." You placed your face in your hands and let out a sigh. "I don't know what to do to fix this."
"It's simple, why not go back and apologize? Talk it out with your dear Haise-kun. I'm sure that's all you both need to be back to a loving relationship." You looked up at her with furrowed brows. "You think so?"
"I know so dear." Sitting up straight, you gave her a big smile and thanked her. "When should I go then? I have work all week, my schedule is too busy."
"Go now, the last train to the 20th ward leaves in an hour. If you hurry, you'll make it in time. I'll call you off for work for you." Your eyes widened as you were quickly lead out of the bedroom and towards the front door where you were given your winter jacket and purse. "O-Oba-chan wait! I need to say goodbye to Izuki and Chiaki."
Jogging towards their bedroom quickly, you kissed them each on the forehead once more. "Mommy will be back soon, watch out for eachother." Smiling, you quickly walked out and closed their door getting yourself ready before you thanked Oba-chan and ran towards the station where the cool winter air ran passed your rosy cheeks.
As you approached the station, you placed your hands on your knees as you tried to calm your heavy breathing after the long run. Luckily, you made it on time and had a few minutes to spare. Haise was all that was on your mind. You missed his sweet words and his adorable smile. Entering the train, you took a seat by the window and watched as the 13th ward got smaller and smaller from your view.
"Have a good night."
"Thank you, you too." You responded to the workers on the train as you exited the train. It was late at night and you were tired, but you needed to see Haise and apologize. Swiftly and cautiously you made your way over to the Quinx apartment, trying not to run into any ghouls. Thankfully, you did not run into any ghouls.
"There it is." You said quietly to yourself as white puffs of air exited your mouth into the cold night sky. Jogging, you ran over to the door and right as your hand was about to hit the door, you stopped yourself. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. Maybe Haise didn't want to see you. Your lips pursed in worry but you shook your head and tightly squeezed your eyes and knocked on the door.
You could feel your breath hitch at your knuckles hitting the cold door. Any minute now. "Coming!" Your eyes widened at the sound of Haise's voice. You hadn't realized it, but your heart was beating quickly against your chest. As if it were in slow motion, the door opened as your eyes were met with Haise's.
"(F/N)..W-what are you doing here?" Your brows furrowed and you had to stop yourself from crying as you walked into his chest, arms wrapping around him as you inhaled his homely scent that you had missed.
"Haise, I'm sorry." This time, tears did fall from your eyes and onto Haise's chest. "I'm sorry.." you felt his arms wrap around you and you tighten your hold on him, digging your face deeper into his chest.
"(F/N), did you come here by yourself?" Haise asked as you nodded. Quickly, he pulled you back from the shoulders and looked deeply into your teary eyes as you were filled with fear. Was Haise really angry with you?
"(F/N)! Do you know how dangerous that is! You could have been killed by ghouls! Why didn't you call me or message me to come pick you up?!" Haise scolded as you looked at him with arched brows. Your mouth opened but words failed to escape. Haise pulled you into his chest and rested his head on your shoulder as his arms tightly wrapped around you. "You scared me.."
"Haise..."
The Quinx looked at the two of you from the corner, smiles filled their faces as they exchanged glances from each other and back towards you and Haise. "Looks like they're making up. Puts me at ease." Shirazu said quietly and they all nodded. "Now Maman and (F/N)-san can be happy again."
