Chapter 12

You woke up to the sound of your bedroom door creaking open as small footsteps followed after. Small hands were placed on your legs as they used you to support their small body onto the bed. "Mommy, mommy." Small hands shook you.

Opening your eyes, you looked straight into Chiaki's and smiled. "Good morning Chiaki." He giggled and crawled over to you, laying down beside you. "What are we going to do today?" He asked as he played with your hand.

"We can just stay home and watch movies together." You suggest as he nodded his head. "Okay, that sounds fun!"

"Sasaki-san said he'll come by after he gets done with his work, make sure you clean the living room when you're done." You said as you wiped your hands on the small towel you had hanging from the oven handle.

"Okay~" The two boys said in unison as they continued to play with their toys.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

Chiaki and Izuki glanced over at you, wondering who was at the door. You walked toward the door and looked through the small peep hole, seeing a couple younger adults. Opening the door, they all looked at you in shock.

"Can I help you guys?" You asked politely as you gave them a smile. A guy with orange hair and shark teeth stepped in front and nodded. "Yes, actually," You nod and wait for him to continue.

"Do you know Sasaki-san?" He asked as the others looked at you in anticipation. You nod slowly at them. The short girl with the blue ponytail steps forward with her box of pockys, "Sasaki-san's been around you a lot recently. We were really curious about you, so we came to your apartment without him knowing.

You looked at all them with a small smile, "Then would you like to come in?" All four of them gave each other looks before. The boy with the green hair shook his head lightly, "Guys, we shouldn't -"

"Thank you! We'd love to come inside!" The three of them marched inside first as the green haired man was still a bit hesitant, but he agreed. Shutting the door behind him, you walked into the living room to find the orange haired male talking with Chiaki and Izuki.

"Hey! I didn't know you had kids." He smiled as Chiaki and rubbed his hair. Chiaki gave him a small smile. You sat down in front of them all and introduced yourself.

"My name is (L/N) (F/N), nice to meet you all."

"My name is Shirazu Ginshi, nice to meet you!" The orange haired man said happily which made you smile.

"Yonebashi Saiko." The blue haired girl responded while she ate her pocky and played with her DS.

"M-Mutsuki Tooru, nice to meet you (L/N)-san." The young man the green hair and eyepatch said as he smiled nervously at you.

You looked at the male at the end who had purple hair and two moles underneath his eyes. He didn't introduce himself yet. Just as you were about to as, Shirazu answered for you.

"His name is Urie Kuki, he's always like this." You nod at his response to him. "Thank you very much for the introductions, I hope I can get to know Sasaki-san's team a bit more."

"You're really nice." Mutsuki said with a small smile, Saiko nodded and handed you a pocky stick which you accepted. "Thank you."

"Oh, someone's knocking! Let me get that really quick!" You state as you got up from your seat to go open the door. "Ah, Haise!"

"Good evening (F/N)-chan~" Haise said as you stepped aside to let him enter. He heard multiple voices and gave you a smile. "You have company over?"

"Ahah, well~" You let him walk himself into the living room and when he entered, his eyes widened in shock and confusement. "Why are you guys in (L/N)-san's house?"

"We were curious about her since you were always with her. We've been here for about two hours now." Shirazu said as he gave Haise a thumbs up.

Mutsuki stood up and held his hand infront of him. "I tried stopping them Sasaki-san!"

Haise pinched the bridge of his nose and pointed toward the door. "You guys need to go home now, come on." Saiko whined as she got off the couch and was walking toward the door. The group said goodbye to you and left, leaving you and Haise alone with the kids.

"Sorry (F/N)..I didn't think they'd be like this.." He said rubbing his face. You chuckle and shook your head. "I don't mind. They are a lovely bunch."

"That's good. Do you have time to talk? I need to ask you a question about Kaneki." You nod at his response and sat back down in the chair, Haise following. "I've been wondering, why are you so 'afraid' of Kaneki? I mean, I know he left you but is that all there is to it?" He asks, trying to find the correct words to say.

"It's mostly because I don't want him in my life anymore, or I don't want to see him." You responded. "Thanks, that's all I needed."

"So, Shirazu and Saiko had told me that you have been talking to them about me?" You joke as Haise's cheeks reddened. "I might've told them a few times.." He said with a smile.

Izuki watched the two of you converse from the other side of the living room as he sat by the window. Peeking outside, he sees a familiar white haired male walking by the apartment. But he soon walked away leaving Izuki curious.
