Fighting with George

I was sitting on the beach outside the Shell Cottage. It was the summer before my fifth year at Hogwarts and my family and the Weasleys were staying there for two weeks. It was dark but still hot and the breeze off the water felt good. I was waiting to see if anyone noticed I was gone. I had been out there for almost an hour so I figured. I heard a crack and looked up to see George standing there. I smiled as he sat down and he looked at me.

“What are you doing out here?” He asked.

“Seeing how long it’d take for someone to find me.” I answered.

            “And how long did it?”

“An hour.” I looked at the water.

            “So I won?”

I nodded. “Yes. You won, George.”

            “Good. Fred is still looking.”

I laughed. “Where is he looking?”

“Behind the house. I’m glad I got the front.” He grinned at me.

“And you’re going to set out here with me until someone else finds us.”

“Ok.” We both lied back on the sand and looked up at the stairs. “This is one of my favorite places.”

I looked at him. “It is?”

He nodded. “Yeah. Right by your house, Hogwarts, and the Burrow.”

I smiled. “Those are my favorite places too.”

He grinned. “Just another thing we have in common.”

            “Good thing we’re friends.”

            “Yeah.”

“Aria! Where are you?!” Fred called and I looked at George.

“Come on.” He said and grabbed my hand.

He pulled me into the water and then dived in. I dived in after him and looked into his eyes underwater. He smiled then we popped out heads out of the water and looked at the beach. Fred was walking around and we laughed quietly. He left the beach and I looked into George’s eyes. He was looking at me and he smiled. “You’re soaked.” He said.

“So are you.” I splashed him.

“Oh it’s on.” He splashed me back and we laughed as we splashed each other. He grabbed my arms and held them so I couldn’t splash him anymore.

“George! That’s not fair!” I yelled.

“Yes it is.” He laughed and looked into my eyes.

We both stopped laughing and I took a deep breath. Our faces were getting closer and I didn’t car. I was going to kiss George. Before our lips touched, something grabbed my feet and pulled me under the water. I panicked and looked to see Fred. He was smiling and breathing underwater from a Bubblehead Charm. He cast the charm on me and I smiled. I could hear George calling my name and I laughed.
