St. Mungo’s
George’s POV
I woke up and found I was on the floor of Aria’s room. I had stayed with her the previous night because she wasn’t feeling well. Actually, she hasn’t felt well since a couple days after her birthday. It was now April tenth and I was surprised she still wasn’t better. She refused to go to the doctor though but her mum tried giving her medicine. Nothing was working though and I was getting worried. And since she wouldn’t let me sleep next to her, I made a bed on her floor. I didn’t want to sleep on the guest beds.
I sat up on the floor and stretched as I looked at Aria. She was still asleep and hugging the garbage can she used as a puke bowl. I smiled and gently took the can away. I put it on the floor and lied down next to her. I wrapped my arms around her and she relaxed into me. I rubbed her back and kissed her head. “I love you, George.” She whispered.
“I love you too.” I looked at her. “How are you feeling?”
“Better.” She smiled.
“That’s good.” I held her hand. “Do you want anything? I’ll get it for you.”
“Maybe tea from the Black Swan.”
“Ok.” I kissed her forehead. “You stay in bed and I’ll be back.’
I walked out of her room and down the stairs. Mrs. Stevens asked me how she was and I told her before I left. I walked down the street and into the Black Swan. I went up to the counter and ordered the tea and waited for it. I felt someone stand by me and I looked to see Ben. “Hey George.” He said and I was a little shocked. I didn’t expect him to be friendly to me. Especially since I practically stole Aria from him.
“Hey Ben.” I said.
“How’s Aria doing? I haven’t seen her for a while.”
“She’s been sick but said she’s better today. She wanted some tea from here so here I am.”
“That’s good she’s getting better. Tell her I said hi.”
The barista handed me the tea. “Will do.” I smiled and left the shop.
I went back to Aria’s and when I got to her room, she looked like she was in pain. I walked over to her and looked worriedly into her eyes. “Aria, are you ok?” I asked.
She put on a smile and nodded. “Yeah. It’s nothing.” She sat up and took the tea. “Thanks for the tea.”
“No problem.” I looked at her curiously; trying to see where she was hurting. “Ben says hi.”
“That’s nice of him.” She made another pain face.
“Are you sure you’re ok?” I asked and touched her arm.
“Yes.” She took a drink of the tea. “I’m gonna take a shower.” She stood up.
“Ok.” I said and watched her go into the bathroom.
I was more worried about her now. I knew she was lying and that she was in pain. I didn’t know why she was hiding it from me. She probably didn’t want me to worry. I lied back on her bed and heard the shower turn on. I then heard something hit her floor and I sat up. I listened to see if she was ok. I could only hear the water but I felt like something was wrong. My heart raced and I just sat there; waiting for a sign that she was ok.
