No Regrets, Just Love
I was standing in the entrance hall of Hogwarts in a long, white, strapless wedding dress that had a red and gold stripped, silk belt around my waist. My hair was up in a bun and a veil was held in place by a tiara. In my left hand was a bouquet a stargazer lilies and on my ring finger was a simple, diamond ring with a silver band. I wasn’t alone in the entrance hall. My father was standing next to me in a tux with a red and gold tie. He took my arm and looked down at me. “Ready?” He asked.
I nodded. “Yeah.”
The doors opened and exposed the Great Hall. All the rows of chairs were filled with guests. Some were the professors and students of Hogwarts then others were alum and family. I saw Seamus, Dean, Neville, and many others and to my surprise, Ben, Taylor, and their family were there. I then looked straight ahead of me and saw George standing there with a grin on his face. By him was Ron, Bill, Charlie, and Percy and waiting for me was Ginny, Hermione, Luna, and Lucy. My eyes focused on George and happy tears filled my eyes. I started walking faster and George laughed lightly. I just wanted to be his wife already.
My dad and I stood in front of George and my parents gave me away. George took my hand and we stood there smiling at each other. Professor McGonagall was the one marrying us and she did it wonderfully. The ceremony was beautiful but I couldn’t hear any of it. I just stared at George. After we said our vows and I Do’s, McGonagall said, “You may now kiss the bride.”
I opened my eyes and sighed with relief. I remember having the wedding dream in my dream with Fred but this dream felt different than that one did. This was what was really supposed to happen. I was supposed to be with George. It was never supposed to be Fred. I felt guilty for thinking that since Fred loved me too but this was it. George and I were soul mates. After George and I stopped kissing for what seemed like hours, he gave me a shirt to wear and I put my wet dress on a hanger to dry. The two of us then lied on his bed and cuddled until we fell asleep. I had no regrets about breaking up with Ben and being with George. I hadn’t felt this happy for over a year and I was glad it was going to stay.
I rolled over in George’s bed and noticed he wasn’t lying next to me. I sat up just as his bedroom door opened and he came in. He was only wearing boxers and his hair was wet. He must’ve just gotten out of the shower. I grinned as I looked at him and he smiled back at me. “Good morning.” He said happily and sat down by me.
“Good morning.” I said just as happy and we kissed. We put our foreheads together and I asked, “What are we going to do today?”
“Well, its Tuesday so I have to work.”
I smiled. “I’ll go with you then.” I stood up and took off his shirt; replacing it with my dress.
“You’re gonna wear that?” He asked curiously.
I nodded. “Yeah. I don’t have anything else and don’t feel like going home.”
“Lee and Ron’s gonna know you were here.”
I looked at him with a grin. “Is that a bad thing?”
He shook his head and came over to me. “No.”
“Good.” I kissed his lips. “I’m gonna go fix my hair.”
