The Ghostly Godmother
I was running as fast as I could and weaving myself through trees. I was scared and breathing hard as I ran; trying to get away from something but I wasn’t sure what. It was dark and I was in a forest. That’s all I knew. I felt like I’ve been running for hours and I had to stop to catch my breath. I rested against a tree and looked around. I didn’t see anything and I felt a sense of relief; like I had gotten away from whatever I was running from. A bush started moving and my eyes widened. Hundreds of spiders came piling out of the bush and I screamed. I started running again but something grabbed my ankles and I panicked as I tried to get my ankles free. I finally did and started running again. That failed because I tripped and fell to the ground. There was a huge pain in my leg and I looked down to see the bone sticking out of my right leg. I heard noises and looked up to see the spiders getting closer to me. My heart started racing faster than it already was and I tried to stand up but couldn’t from the pain in my leg. The spiders started getting closer and tears filled my eyes. They were almost to me and I closed my eyes.
“Arania Exumai.” A familiar voice yelled and I opened my eyes to see the spiders were gone.
I sighed with relief then looked behind me. Even more relief washed over me and the tears ran down my cheeks. “George.” I cried.
His face was completely filled with worry and he quickly knelt down by me. “Aria, are you ok?” He looked into my eyes with panic.
I shook my head. “No. My leg’s broken.”
He looked down at it and pointed his wand at it. “Episkey.” He said but my leg didn’t heal. He looked into my eyes. “I’m going to have to carry you out of here and get you to St. Mungo’s.”
I nodded. “Ok.”
He pointed his wand at my leg again and said, “Ferula.” A splint and bandage appeared on my leg and the pain eased a little. “Lift your legs a little.” He instructed me and I did. He put his right arm under them and the left behind my back; gripping my waist with his hand for support. I put my left hand on his right shoulder and rested my head against his neck; taking in this lily smell. He lifted me up and we started walking through the forest. “I’m glad you’re ok.”
“I’m glad you found me.” I looked into his eyes. “How did you find me?”
He smiled. “I don’t know really. I had a dream you were in trouble and I grabbed my wand to apparate and see if you were ok and I appeared here and saw the spiders coming after you.”
I grinned. “Well, thank you.”
“Any time.” He winked at me and we continued walking.
“George?” I asked and continued looking into his eyes.
“Yeah?” He stared into mine.
I touched his face with my left hand and looked at his lips. We stopped walking and I looked into his eyes. I moved my fingers along his face and caressed his bottom lip with my thumb. I bit my lips as he kissed my thumb and smiled. I moved my hand back to his cheek and our faces started getting closer. His lips were almost touching and I could already taste his mouth. It tasted like cinnamon. My lips grazed his and I took a deep breath before closing my eyes.
