So we actually missed the first real night of us being married, but I wasn't
about to celebrate that night on an airplane...not that being on an airplane in
the future will stop me *wink wink* but I most certainly am not having the first
night/time on an airplane. Johanna slept most of the ride, which is good,
because it is now late morning in the Swiss Alps and we have a full day ahead of
us (heads up, not that kind of day). But first we have to get to where we are
staying. Most honeymoon-ers stay in a hotel, but not us, I want complete and
total privacy. So I got us a small cabin up in the mountains for 2 weeks. It
will be very romantic, and so much fun.
We took a car to the base of the snowy mountain where we then had to load
ourselves and our luggage onto the chairs of the ski lift and ride it way up
into the mountains.
Johanna nestled against me and started exclaiming at the beauty of the snow and
of the sun against the peaks of the mountain.
"Gabriel, its beautiful."
"And so are you, Mrs.Ryan." She kissed me and then cuddled back into my arms for
warmth. When we got to the end of the ride, we grabbed our bags and walked
around the corner to where the house was.
Johanna stopped in her tracks, a tear rolled down her cheek. She was staring in
wonder at the cozy wooden cabin that would be our place for the next 2 weeks.
"This is ours?" She whispers.
I nod, "Don't you like it?"
"Its more than I could ever ask for. You're more than I could ever ask for."
In response, I took her luggage from her and scooped her up into my arms to
carry her across the threshold of our cabin.
She giggled as I set her down in the living room and then went to go get our
luggage. Quickly, I brought everything into the bedroom and then ran back out to
her. Johanna was nowhere to be seen in the living room, all the sudden the open
door closed and Johanna was leaning against the wall, her legs crossed and a
smile on her lips. I breathed relief and smiled back. She flashed me her
beautiful white smile and then ran to me. She jumped up and wrapped her legs
around my torso. I swung her around in large circles before her artistically
sculpted lips pressed against mine. We were locked together, banging into walls
and hall tables in search of the bedroom. I soon found it and leaned her on top
of the bed, I was raining my kisses upon her face and neck when she turned her
head.
"Hey, what are those?" She asks slowly while sitting up.
"Nothing," I try to convince her, "Pretend they aren't there."
