Forbidden Mates Ch. 13

 Rose's P.O.V.

I look at Hunter.

"I'm sorry for teasing you." He says.

He takes off his shirt and he tosses it on the bed.

"Um...what are you doing?" I ask.

"Come on, let's go." He replies ignoring my question.

He grabs my hand and he leads me out the door and down the hallway. I struggle to keep up. It felt like if I slowed down even for just a little, that he would be dragging me. We got to the stairs when I pulled my hand away. Hunter turns around and just stares at me as if he was wondering why I pulled away.

"You were dragging me." I say.

Hunter scratches his head. "I'm sorry; I didn't realize that I was doing that." He replies.

I just laugh and hold my hand out. "If you promise you won't drag me this time, you can hold my hand." I say.

He takes my hand and together we make our way downstairs. We walked to the front door and he opens it. We walked through and when we stepped out onto the porch, Hunter lets go of my hand. I step down off the porch and onto the grass.

There was a breeze in the air; I closed my eyes and felt the breeze hit my face. I felt someone take my hand so I opened them to see Hunter smiling at me. I smile back and he leads me deep into the forest.

We came across a spring. Hunter led me to a rock by the water so I sat down.

"Wait here." He says.

Before he walks off, he takes my hand up to his lips and he kisses the top of my hand before letting go and walking away. He disappears behind the trees.

"Hunter?" I call out.

I started to panic, what if he left me out here because he didn't want me anymore? I push my legs up and I look around, I was trying to figure out how to get back to Hunter's place when all of a sudden a wolf appeared out of nowhere.

I let out a loud scream and backed up. The back of my legs smacked into the rock that I was sitting on and then all of a sudden, I fell backwards landing head first. I moaned in pain and then I realized that the wolf was just on the other side of the rock. I propped myself up slowly and I peeked over to the see that it was gone.

I lay back down on the grass and then I saw Hunter out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head to the right to make sure he was actually there. I sat up fast and then I had a massive headache and my vision was really dizzy.

"Maybe you should lie back down." I hear Hunter say.

I ignored him and waited for the dizziness to stop but it didn't. I leaned into him and felt him wrap his arms around me. I placed my hands on his and soon enough everything stopped spinning.

"Why were you freaking out earlier?" I hear Hunter ask.

"I thought that you had abandoned me and that you didn't want me anymore." I reply softly.

"Hey look at me." He says.

I move my head away from his chest and look up at him.

"I would never ever abandon you and I will always want you. I care about you and I love you too damn much." Hunter tells me.

"Wait what? I didn't quite catch that last part." I say.

"I love you too damn much." He repeats the last line.

"Really? You do?" I ask.

He nods his head. "I do." He replies.

I was glad to hear how he felt about me.

"Can we try this again? Can you show me your wolf again?" I ask.

"Maybe later. It's getting dark so we should head back." He replies.

Hunter lets go of me and he pushes himself up to stand. He holds out both of hands so I place my hands into his. He pulls me up slowly and I fall into his chest. He lets go of one of my hands and he puts an arm around my waist.

"Let's head home." He says.

He lets go of my other hand and he gets down on his knees.

"Hop on." He says.

I walk behind his back and wrap my arms around his neck. I feel his arms go under my legs and he rises up with me still on his back. He made his way out of the forest and we got to his house. We went inside and he carried me up the stairs and into his room. He put me on his bed and he takes my shoes off.

"I promise to show you again tomorrow. Just get some sleep love." Hunter says.
